Too many bot players in AI matches

I feel like this issue has been going on for a long time and not much has been done about it. In AI bot matches a lot of users seem to use a third party program to play AI matches for them so they don't have to grind to level 30. I know you can easily 1v5 bots but it just seems annoying that this type of cheating seems to go unpunished. Does anyone have any information on what is being done about this or ideas?

My last post was removed and was asked to put in this board, but I do not feel it belongs here but whatever.

I know this isn't a really good solution sooo... If you get enough reports you should be able to ban them even if just for a while. The banning time will add up eventually.

I do that, but have never seen a notice pop up about players being punished for this action. I assume they level these accounts to 30 and sell them.

Riot doesn't send notices about people being banned, but about the account selling I have no idea what to do. Seems pretty likely since sometimes I see people acting / playing like lvl 1s in lvl 30 matches.

What they really need to do is allow players to trigger a Captcha within the first 3 minutes of a Co-Op game after every one is 'connected' or so, if a player fails to do it then they would be removed from the game and be unable to log in for about 15 minutes. It would be a perfect measure to counter bots and since bots are usually made to 'ignore the client' it could be a useful way to forcibly kill the loophole that these account sellers use to dump smurf accounts into the game.

Riot has a new client, a captcha system should at least be allowed now. Since games i've seen with captcha'ish log in systems tend to have not as many bots or no bots roaming around....

An added plus could be doubling the lock out every time a 'player' fails the captcha consectively and once it hits strike 3, they get banned and put up on the list of accounts to investigate and deleted if confirmed to be a 'ip farming account'. With an added bonus of maybe sending a warning to the email linked to the account and maybe even lock that email from being able to make any new accounts at all on LoL.

Most of this can be an automated system really to begin with so its not like they'd lose money out of this.

Great detailed response Avienal. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to do it like your way. I guess it's just up to Riot to implement that system or come down harsher on these third party programs. It's not something that really deters from ranked/normals, but I see it as unfair to all players who had to do the grind to 30.

I know what you are talking about, i managed to lose a coop vs ai game because i literally had 4 bots on my team, so it was basically 1v5 and the 5 enemy bots were extremely fed. People use bots to get the account to lvl 30, then a certain ranked then they sell the account online on certain websites
