reporting a player, does the tribunal even work?

Hello,

So just now i have been demoted, again, i lost a game, cause 0/3 garen at 7th minute somehow found out our jugnler is "retarded" as he said and was afk standing in base chatting with others till we lost. Something lke this is hapening TOO OFTEN! people just decides to run arround in the base and doing shit. And when u report them after game, no not about player getting punished has ever occured!!!!

I recentyl just got back to league of legends and managed to get from b4 to g4 with Ashe only.. But i am most than certain that 30% of my games were completely ruined by people who intentionaly threw the game. This is not having a bad game and should be punished, so why isnt ist happening? When i say i will report you people are always making fun of reports. "i dont care i am afk, report me all" "I wont stop feeding, u can report me i dont care" EVERY TIME! How IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE? Can someone pls tell me?

SO.. i was wondering, if u could make tribunal system transparent, so i could make a note at a player who destroyed intentionaly my game and i could check in the future if he was punished. I am really near quitting league of legends again, cause this is really not enjoyable, when u have a kid like this in almost every game.

What do u think about it?

It didn't. That's why it was discontinued.

Ok. It DID but it took months. IFS is faster and more accurate.

The tribunal doesn't exist anymore. It's called the Instant Feedback System (IFS for short, Instant IFS System if you want to make people uncomfortable).

I think the Tribunal was also about collecting data so that the IFS could be coded in the first place.

I rather think the IFS was made to cover the pitfalls of the Tribunal. I, and a lot of others, would just click "punish" for every single case because it was usually the "right" option. There was no penalty for giving a wrong verdict or contributing to a false positive. Free IP, man.

it did ... it was the best system ... the only problem was the player data base and the spam of reports they got ... so riot made a lazy system that bans u based on the words u said ... doesn't matter the context so yea

He will not get banned because he didn't flame or was toxic . That is the only thing RIOT cares about unfortunately , that is why these guys never care when you threaten to report them . as long as it's not flaming or toxicity , they will be ok

Now I'm bad at the boards so you might hav to scroll to reach the red post but Riot actually does ban for intentionally feeding, it's just that it's harder to snoop out unless blatantly obvious

I'm pretty sure the percentage of players banned for inting is incredibly small compared to players banned for saying f*ck too many times.

Trolls roam free on the summoner's rift and it's not about to change unless Riot actually do something about it and create a better way to spot these guys

And how do you suggest they do that? You must have a solution if it's such an easy thing to fix.

Because the difference between having a bad game and inting is lost to players. A lot of the time Riot has to decide the difference between someone just losing lane or going on a losing streak and someone legit trolling. It's difficult to catch so Riot has to be careful as to not ban innocent players. Which is why chat bans are more common, toxic chat logs are a much easier indicator of the necessity of punishment.

That said, players can't always tell that difference and hop on the boards to complain. Then they see other's complaining and let conformation bias decide for them that riot only bans for chat, not for gameplay which is false.
