I'm sorry, but you can't just apologize and say that you're better. You need to show that you're better through your positive play.

responding to them isn't helping deal with them. They get some kinda sense of superiority from correcting grammar whether its appreciated or not. Don't edit it and leave it as is and refrain from acknowledging them.

Not really. There are two types of people who correct grammar; those who care too much and those who want to watch the world burn.

The ones who care too much just want everyone to correct themselves. They are often people who like to be corrected and prefer to grow and learn from their mistakes. They can't stand people who don't care enough to actually pay attention to their typing to type the word they are trying to use, rather than a shorter yet identical sounding version.

The other group... well they are just trolls and you can safely ignore them. Just don't mistake the two.

It's a fine line, to be sure, but in this case I think the insult is far enough removed from the person you were talking to.

You called him a grammar nazi, and you insulted all grammar nazis. That's as far as I go to remove people from the direct line of fire of an insult and I haven't been punished for it yet.

Exactly my point. The proper structure to using an insult on here is basically this:

Assert that target is part of a group.
Insult group.
Shift all focus of your post to the group, rather than the person.

You're not actually insulting anyone because the group as a whole cannot be insulted. People who self identify as a member of said group can feel insulted, but you directed no comment toward them in particular.

You can safely use a whole host of insults and swear words to insult a group that would be quickly deleted if a moderator saw it directed at an individual.

I can say all Teemo mains are assholes. I can call all ADCs who blame their supports fuck nuggets. So long as I don't single anyone out the line in the sand of moderation is moved pretty far away, giving a whole lot of room to wiggle in.

Balconies is fine, of course, but know you don't have to limit yourself to it.

Chat restrictions arent directly connected to chest and key privileges. Even if riot were to take your ban away(never seen it happen before) it would be weeks/months before your account would be marked as "good" standing for you to have the chest and key privileges returned.

Actions speak louder than words. If you are truly sorry and change your behavior for the better the ban will go away, and a while after that you will get hextech rewards back.

Simply saying you're sorry has no meaning these days. Prove your words are true in game.
