ARAM: Lying Nidalee

I was playing a game of ARAM and I got Zed. In our team, we had Headhuntress Nidalee that refused to heal anyone (even though she had full AP and around 1600 mana). She said it only healed for 100 even though the base value is much higher, keep in mind however that she on top of that base value had around 600 AP and the heal scales with 65% AP and has a minimum heal and a maximum heal. At worst, it would have healed for around 310 HP lvl 18 and around 620 at best. I reported her after the game, but here's also a chatlog (name is censored).

(Other player) left the lobby Ermin09: report nidalee Ermin09: refuses to heal Ermin09: flames Ermin09: and lies about her heal xxxxxxxx: XD zed reported XD (Other player) left the lobby Ermin09: ''it only heal 100'' even though the base value is 230 xxxxxxxx: XD kido xxxxxxxx: XD u have autism XD (Other player) left the lobby (Other player) left the lobby Ermin09: let me screenshot xxxxxxxx: XD u trying to tell me Ermin09: i've played nidalee xxxxxxxx: XD about me skills xxxxxxxx: XD xD Ermin09: i looked up her stats in the wiki Ermin09: 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+ 65% AP) xxxxxxxx: XD so stfu and go cry to mom xxxxxxxx: XD u getting report :D xxxxxxxx: XD enjoy (xxxxxxxx) left the lobby

I am not exaggerating; she used that many XD emojis.

Not sure what's actually funnier; the fact that she tried to make her heal look like garbage that only heals 100 (she literally used the same value when I asked her midgame aswell as lategame) or the ludicrous amounts of XD emojis and her lack of arguments when I gave her proof.

Speaking of which, I mentioned her heals before. Well, look at this.

Primal Surge HUMAN FORM - ACTIVE: Nidalee evokes the spirit of the cougar, healing the target allied champion or herself, increased by 1% for every 1% of the target's missing health, and granting them bonus attack speed for 7 seconds.

MINIMUM HEAL: 35 / 55 / 75 / 95 / 115 (+ 32.5% AP) MAXIMUM HEAL: 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+ 65% AP)

Pretty damn powerful heal, aswell as having a 20/30/40/50/60% AS boost for 7 whole seconds. It seems too powerful, so let's rework into this:

Primal Surge HUMAN FORM - ACTIVE: Nidalee evokes the depressed spirit of the cougar, kind of healing the target allied champion or herself by a flat amount. This spell fails if the cougar is having an anxiety attack.

HEAL: 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 (+ 0.05% AP)

The whole situation was shockingly stupid, but funny nonetheless.

Nidalee was right. In Aram its only really worth healing yourself since healing on allies is reduced. Especially if enemy have ways to apply GW onto you. She had around 200 AP and her heal was rank 2. So even without GW she would heal you for like 100-150 mid/late. And early you wouldnt even notice her heal.

Any heals are good. Can't have 4 people fighting over one Health Relic which isn't much better, and that respawns every 60 seconds and that might put you in a dangerous situation if the enemy is placed near it.

Its not mana efficient. Nida in ARAM will usually max heal last as she doesnt need E like in Summoners Rift to clear jungle. So her heal until very late into the game was still rank 2 only. It heals for very little and it costs mana. You were in the wrong here.

As Nid in arams i NEVER heal others unless theyre about to die and i have a lot of mana. Nid is a high skill cap champ and def NOT a support, so you crying about not getting healed is dumb. Maybe you shouldnt take so much damage.

In ARAM, a super-crowded map. Ok.

So what? If I'm playing midlane does it mean I should never help my team? This isn't a 1v1 solo game.

Listen. Nid heal cost a lot of mana, it does not heal others very much, and its aram so you dont get much mana back. Nid's heal isnt mad eto be used on others unless theyre in dire need of it. Her combo is (from human form) Q R W basicc Q E R WE pretty much. You hit a spear and you dive onto the carry and do all of their hp. Theres a very good chance you take damage so you really need mana for your E and if its on cooldown youre just dead. Stop being a bitch kid

Report them for their behavior in post game but if you spent the whole game flaming someone for not using a skill then maybe you were part of the problem too. Asking for reports is a punishable behavior because it accomplishes nothing but to create a toxic atmosphere within game. Furthermore that player does not regularly play Nid and it was an ARAM, who cares if they don't fully know all of their skills? Why get so angry about a "for fun" game mode?

I wouldn't say that I was flaming. I definitely wasn't very quiet about it but really, all I did was try to convince Nidalee several times why she should heal us.

As property of ARAM, heals are greatly nerfed. Especially on targets other than the caster.

She was likely not lying about the amount.

Ermin091 votes

Except she couldn't heal for 100 hp lvl 18 when she had around 600 AP and a max leveled heal. We were getting pummeled so her 300 something heal would have still been very handy.

Even if comparably she could heal herself for much, much more? Her heal isn't exactly cheap, so the idea that she would want to save it for the person it's most effective on is a reasonable decision. The decision being correct or not is an argument of tactics, which is not a bannable offense to have a disagreement of tactics so long as the person is doing what they feel is best to win the game. The flaming is punishable of course.

But you don't get to make the decision on who someone uses their heals on unless you're the one controlling the character.

what the heck is that poll [sg-lux-2]

Ermin091 votes

Alright, perhaps I should clarify about the heal since everyone has been telling me her heal would have been weaker.

ARAM reduces outgoing heals by 50% (which was a miscalculation by me, sorry), but midgame when she had a decent amount of AP, she could have healed the low target allies. Any heals are important, let alone a heal that's boosted when you're low on HP and gives you a nice AS boost. Her heals, which would have been very frequent, would have still surpassed the Health Relics which have a spawntime of 60 minutes and potentially makes you leave the team to get one. They heal for:

55 - 140 (based on level) health, increased by 0% - 200% (based on missing health), up to a maximum of 165 - 420 (based on level).

While the health relics would have potentially healed for more at lvl 18, Nidalee's more constant heals and mana regeneration would have proved to be of much greater utility. The mana cost is high, but she had plenty of mana and mana regeneration (on top of ARAM's innate 0.15% of maximum mana regen).

Hey,

I've removed your poll as the final option to select violated the Universal Rules. Such talk is never welcome on the Boards even in an "edgy poll". Since the rest of the thread is fine, I've simply removed the poll so your conversation about Nidalee's heal on ARAM can continue.

If you have questions about this edit or need clarification, please feel free to come ask us on the Discord or create a discussion on Discuss the Boards.

Thanks
