There needs to be stricter punishment against leavers

ive encountered too many rage quit 4-5mins in. then gotta wait 10minutes before surrender. if someone disagrees then gotta wait till 18min mark.

its a waste of 4x 10mins = 40mins of game time. i feel that either have a way to discern if there was really a rage quitter and make it easier to remake or punish the hell out of them

Many of these accounts you will never run into again. With 25 million accounts world wide, it is practically impossible. In the 7 almost 8 years I've played I ran into one of the same players (not including instantly queuing after a match) that was on my friends list. So the likelihood is that these leavers are punished and do not do so again and if they do they are banned. However, just short of a notification of "Someone in your previous game was disciplined for Leaving/AFKing in your match", there would be no way for you to know. They may go two or three more games before they get banned or suspended. Leaving is a problem and will continue to be a problem, there is not much that can be done about that.

So what exactly do you want to happen? Especially since we do punish leavers. Its not as serious, but you have to keep in mind people have other serious issues to work out sometimes at a moments notice. Either that or problems can occur like ISP from both the player and Riot Servers. So with that in mind do you feel like you should be punished (harshly) if say something happen to Riot's servers one day/the Client crashes on you?

People who leave habitually DO get punished, up to and including perma bans.
