Toxic Players
Something must be done about toxicity. The problem with online gaming is the anonymity, people feel disconnected from players and forget they are people with feelings and not AI, but that's never gonna change, and quite frankly that anonymity is a safety net for all regular nice folks. But something's gotta change. I was looking through a previous post, started by a previously toxic reformed player, and the people who posted there brought up some good points:
- Champ Select reporting. Salty lane bullies and raging because of accidental band or someone just choosing that persons preferred champ.
- Letting people know their reports matter. Someone said if you've reported someone, if they get banned within a 3day period, you get notified. I would feel better if some of the rude and violent people I've played with got banned.
Some other things we could implement,
- If someone is reported (and it's a valid report) they get no IP, no exp points, no keys or chests or anything. Either for that game or for the next 4 games, like LeaverBuster.
- Use A computer's IP number to ensure a banne player cannot use smurfs.
- Riot should consider doing some sort of Anti-Salt campaign, like reward RP for every thumbs up you get, and extras if you get a friendly or teamwork or honorable opponent. I feel like there's a lot of stuff Riot coul be doing, but I also understand they've already got a lot on their plate, and their working hard to make their games a pleasure for everyone involved. But still, it'd be nice to see obvious changes.
