Reconsidering the meaning of "FAIR"
So, a week ago, i was banned. Yes i said it, and you saw it right , i got banned for salt (i wont say toxic as never have i ever resorted to the use of verbally abusive words or gone on blood relations etc but my statements are more of debate style statements) and before any of you decide to flame me and say oh you deserved it etc etc i know i did, i do not deny it. So the day i got banned i immediately stuck to the support system and sent in a ticket for reconsideration of the ban as i did not think my comments were honestly that harsh in intensity (example of the comments being : 1. thanks for your words of wisdom but they are not helping right now....2. fizz needs to be balanced hes out of control....3. holy moly someone save me form this balance and this is legit the extent to which i have been salty except this one time against a kled that went on blood relations to the point that i had to put aside mannerism for a few minutes).
I was followed up with a support member that honestly handed me out with possibly the most automated message in this entire game and i know as i have seen others that have met up with the same member receive the same messages, and i mean exactly the same. Not satisfied, i continued to send tickets and so did my brother (the thing is my bro created this account and he is its owner but due to higher education he had to quit playing this game for 2 years and to keep it active he gave me its user and pass (and i got it banned hehe xD i suck as a brother i know and its the reason why he typed to the support staff to tell them that since he had no hand in this, he be given back the account). The same support member replied for the second time stating that as the owner the person is solely responsible for any activity on the account and that it was the account that was banned and not the player (funny isn't it because from my knowledge an account cannot type on its own so it has to be the player that was punished not the account). Honestly from there he just gave up on getting the account back but i kept on trying because his life became miserable in real life because of what i had done.
So i went on the internet to see if there was anyone else that had the same issue i.e knew that he/she was very lightly salty and had been given his/her account back and while searching for the above i found this link: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/689/805/983/riot-games-stop-permbanning-players-for-verbal-abuse/ which got me to type another ticket asking if this wasn't a better solution and honestly when you type long a** novel worthy paragraphs you expect more than just a 2 line statement that has nothing to do with what you ask for. So i stuck to the boards and with the info in the above link as the core of my post i typed in my views on the same. Still not satisfied with the replies i took to typing another ticket and honestly wrote the longest paragraph of my life of plain apology and it was so well written that i was proud of what had become of my English literary skills and would make even the most cold hearted or stone hearted or people to at least try to sort out your requests for which you have been literally begging for days. Honestly, i felt at that point (not to be rude) that the support member that was replying to my tickets was least bothered about actually trying to help me so i demanded for what Riot calls a "Player Behavior Specialist" but with no surprise i was replied to again by the same support member and honestly even i felt like was a waste of using internet data typing tickets when all you know you would get is a series of small 3-4 lined paragraphs with i'd say hardly 15% of content that actually is in context to what you asked for. This time however something struck me, in the reply i noticed the following lines :
"We appreciate the sentiment of wanting to reform, but to remain fair to all players in these situations we do not make exceptions to our permanently suspended rulings."
OKAY SO HOLD ON, YOU SAY YOU WANNA BE FAIR WELL LOOK AT THIS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PmK_muMlR4&t=81s
Where was the whole thought of being "FAIR" when this guy was unbanned ( he was banned for consistent verbal abuse reports too and i know some may think maybe he actually was not that toxic and so his ban was reconsidered but i can bet a thousand lives on the fact that i was not even 50% as salty as the guy in this video was except for the kled game i mentioned earlier and i got a myself a chat ban solely for that game.) Just in case you got lost somewhere here is a recap, "but to remain fair to all players in these situations we do not make exceptions to our permanently suspended rulings." WAIT WHAT....FAIR?? OH MY, DEAR LORD HELP US ALL FOR WE HAVE BEEN DOOMED TO THE GATES OF HELL. Oh and did i forget to tell you i got this message after my 5th ticket of apology:
"We have already explained the context for your suspension. We will not be removing the punishment and consider this matter closed." (Mr.________ closes the ticket on my face :D)
Sir, please if you are reading this, please tell us all, not just me, but anyone that is reading this, how you explained the context for my suspension, i mean unless of course saying "As this account had ruined the game experience for others we will have to remain firm in our stance against it. You can read more on this policy below " is called explaining the reason why the very particular account got banned.
The above lines, oh wait my bad "line" is the reply i got after possibly 5 other replies that hardly answered 15% of my doubts. I'd say Mr. _______ Support member just got tired of facing the truth of them not being "fair" after i posted the video link in the ticket. Excuse my language and rudeness, i do not wish to personally attack anybody through this post, but after wasting 24 hrs a day for a whole week just to get a reply that hardly would satisfy any needy, i have grown this developing irritation and frustration which i am letting out through this post. Coming back to the point, lets talks about being "FAIR". If you would have given me the same reply but not after having made an exception after saying that your company does not make exceptions to be "FAIR" i would've walked away and sent no further tickets but having a living proof in my hand it has become more than necessary as a player to type this post and have anyone reading this reconsider the meaning of "FAIR". By making the "exception" that the support member talked about in the video, the whole meaning of the word "fair" changes and so does it context. By having made the exception, what now would be unfair is the fact that you had considered one ban but others and made the fact that all but one account remained unbanned during the process. What now would have been fair is if other accounts that got banned for the same reason be unbanned. Enough of the fair business, i think any normal person would understand the fact that there are no 2 way to this and the fact that you make an exception and then say you dont make exceptions is more unfair than fair. Also i would like to know, apart from a summoner icon with 2 hands holding each other, what exactly have you done for loyal players? (and no ranked rewards are not included as they are for your ladder play achievements not loyalty). And please not that the unbanning in the video was done after the punishment system changed and like 2-3 months ago. Coming back to the loyalty part: what exactly has riot done for loyal players? Its almost like in the thirst to create a better community, Riot is just steamrolling anything that is coming in its path wrong or right. Honestly the earlier me would have been sorry for typing this rude of a message but honestly this message is to be more of an eyeopener rather than a collective request to get my account back.
