How to not Rage type against trolls?

I've been finding myself more and more engaging with players that are intentionally feeding or griefing in my games and getting to the point that i just sit and argue with them. I'w aware i shouldn't give these people the time of day by talking back and forth with them. I feel as if i take the proper steps in ignoring them such as muting chat, muting pings, turning music on, etc. Sometimes its just unbearable for me when i have teammates that follow me around like a baby duck stealing my farm and refusing to cooperate in anyway. I understand people have bad games as everyone does i'm just looking for advice or tips that other players do to deal with trolls and toxic players in general. I hate muting my chat and would prefer not to unbind my enter key because i like to help people when i can. Anyway thanks for any advice or tips anyone has!!

Are they inting? If so, complaining won't change it. Are they just bad? Accusing them will likely make them worse.

Define griefing though.

the best thing for me was to realize in a matchmaking system like they use in LoL, im going to lose half of my games anyway. trolls just help get the losses out of the way fast so i can spend more time winning!

Agreed. As a top laner I basically cringe when my adc or anyone else gives up and intentionally feed to the point there's no way to turn the tide of the battle. ... Makes my lane as non-impactful as they say....

Mind you that our graves was 2-9 and repeatedly was dying every time he tried to split. We tried to explain to graves that we should either fight as 5 or let pantheon split because nobody on their team could 1v1 pantheon yet. His response to that was simply you all know nothing, "if i can't split its gg".

Graves should be splitting. Your team should be forcing fights as 4v4.

When they start typing something that really angers me, I just mute them so that I no longer see whatever they type. It's very anti-climactic but it's really the best way for me.

Typing to them puts the power in their hands. You're NEVER going to make one of them stop by flaming. Firing back responses to them is literally what they are trying to get you to do. You just gotta let that shit go in one ear and out the next.

Hi,

Apart from muting them I simply stick around the player that is in the best position to carry, and hope the others will converge around the two of us. If someone is really inting I usually try to get the rest of the team steal drag while the guy is running it down and the enemy focus is on him. If someone is simply going afk circles in the base that's honestly the better option and encouraging your team helps to turn the game experience into something at least enjoyable.

I just try to focus on my job as a support and let the chips fall where they may. If it becomes obvious the game is unwinnable because of a technical 4v5 situation then i’ll start dancing and /laugh spam in hopes the enemy team plays along, potentially turning a sour situation into a funny one.
