Are the people handing out chat restrictions handicapped?

Turns out, you get 25 game chat restricted when calling out "Mr. Korean Smurf" Kim Jong Il who can't speak English (refusing to communicate) and people who troll (afk in lane, watching when the team 4v5s,etc, etc.) Best thing is, the same guy was doing all of this and he didn't get punished at all!

Then again, this game's punishment system blows a fat one and it's no surprise to anyone.

The whole idea of "Ignore and report" doesn't work in any realistic scenario, and sure as hell didn't here. Yet another example of

I don't care too much, I just enjoy pointing out, as i've done in the past, this game punishes the wrong people. if the ficas at riot would get their shit straight, maybe their dying shithole game would turn around.

i played one game with that yasuo, got a chat restriction, and the VERY NEXT GAME, this happened. This dude won't be punished for shit, meanwhile i'm still over here chat restricted. Make sense? fuck no it doesn't.

Eh, I've gone worse. You'd be surprised at how bad a game actually can get. And you know how hard it is to detect intentional feeding or trolling? Really fucking hard, and that's why there is the report system. The great Riot team does have their shit straight, and I been seeing better people, and this game is far from dying. And yes, it does make sense. You were toxic, you got punished, the end.

You can try so hard and only get worse and worse. It can happen. I've had it happen when I was trying my absolute hardest. If he really was intentionally feeding, all you had to do is report him and he will be dealt with. What, do you want a video showing he got reported? Sheesh. What proof do you have he walked scott clean?

I would (and do) report AFKs and trolls (unsportsmanlike conduct) if I ever came across them. But do you think a chat restriction is really gonna affect an AFK or troll? Okay it MIGHT affect the troll on occasion. But they do take more time to detect then toxic chat or blatantly obvious intentional feeding.

Yeah, you're 100% correct. They spend a LOT of time worrying about chat, because if they say they've been banning/restricting "X" amount of people, the community is going to be satisfied with the illusion that this shithole game is 'improving' from a behavior standpoint. Biggest lie and joke I've seen in a while. Rito=full of shit.

Speaking another language and not communicating is not a punishable offense. Looks like your just being racist here.

All in all, it sounds like you're on the verge of being escalated to a permanent ban if Riot looks into this. I'd keep my head low instead of making a scene on the forums if I were you.

The "ignore and report" is to benefit everybody. Insulting a player never makes them play any better, and more often than not it does the opposite. You also become a problem to the other players when you get into an argument. Your own report is all that is needed to contribute to punishing a player. Ignoring them is to keep you from getting upset and causing more problems.

Since you still seem to be confused about why you got banned, these passages from the Tribunal FAQ should help answer your questions:

That player in my game was far worse than me. Why am I banned??? I'll keep this one simple: those other players in your game that you thought were worse are probably also banned. Nearly 100% of the time, those players were banned even before you were. If someone is being toxic, just report them and move on.

We strongly believe that it is not OK to retaliate. If a player refuses to cooperate and says something negative, then players should ignore the player and report them after the game. Players can ignore or mute players by pressing the “Mute” button on the Scoreboard [when you hit TAB] in the game.

If a player retaliates and says something bad back, then the two of you have made a negative experience for potentially the other 8 players in the game. Rarely do teams start working together better when players begin fighting back—great games only happen when players cooperate and don’t make the issues even worse by fighting back and forth.

What's the point of having a language filter if I can get banned for 'adult' language? We aren't out to punish players who use adult language; in fact, very few players are ever banned for saying stuff like "f***, I missed that skill shot" or "damn, fing close game!" However, the language filter is not an excuse to verbally abuse someone in the game. When you verbally abuse or harass someone by calling them "fing *****" or "ngger noob", that's when you've crossed the line and will be punished by the Tribunal. I've said this before and I'll say it again, we aren't trying to clean online games of adult language; we're trying to reform or get rid of jerks who like to verbally abuse and harass other players.

Why is verbal abuse punishable if there is a mute button/language filter? Players shouldn’t need to rely on features like the mute button or language filter to engage with other players in positive ways. When a player verbally abuses another player and forces him to use the mute button, they have already created a negative experience for that player.

Everything about your post is offensive.

You not only insulted Riot, but also actual handicapped individuals with your title. The first paragraph of your post is entirely racist. And all the examples you listed of how you communicate in game proves that you are in clear violation of the rules. Not only are you verbally abusive, but you intentionally breach the chat filter to ensure people receive the entirety of your negativity regardless if they've opted to have it on.

You may be chat restricted today, but if you continue this behavior then you may as well quit the game altogether because you'll be banned before too long.
