I'm gonna stop you right there. Both the League community and Riot have ZERO tolerance for that, regardless of context. That's never going to change, regardless of what you might consider more important.

As to the larger point, "defending yourself" isn't a thing. If you bumped your cart into someone at the supermarket and got into a screaming match with them, the manager isn't going to come ask which of you started it. He or she is simply going to ask you both to leave. That's just the reality of life as an adult.

I have never received a warning or ban.. and I've been playing for years. saying riot "makes you play with mute all" or punishes unfairly is just blame shifting.. You said what you said, and they punished you for it. for all you know, they punished the others as well. However, having some self control and simply not responding has left me with a nice account, all champs, and not a single fear of being banned.. You can't blame riot for you flying off the handle. Its a game. if you aren't having fun, play something else?
