"I dont wanna play with you, you're cursed"

To preface: I have a really good friend who I've known for 2+ years now and we duo ranked all the time.

Problem is, he's now certain I'm cursed and no longer wants to play with me.

"Everytime I queue with you it ends my winstreak. You must have terrible MMR."

I'm an adc main in gold, while he...I don't even know, he plays mainly Yi and Udyr jg and Yasuo and Garen mid.

He thinks that everytime I play with him, I "make our teammates feed" and then we lose, ending his winning streak. He says he doesnt wanna queue anymore to save his lp.

Look at my previous two games, both played with him (he was yasuo 1 game and garen the other), the team didn't do too badly, but we just couldn't pull out the win.

So is this bad mentality by him, or am I doing something to the matchmaking?

Sounds to me like you two have trouble closing out games together and your friend is looking for someone to blame for it, which in this case is you. MMR aside I think the problem is your friends mentality-if he's quick to blame you for losses then chances are he does that to other people as well. If it was just one time and he apologized for it then that'd be one thing, but if he's been doing this allot recently then there's a problem with him.

In other words this is a bad mentality by him and he needs to grow up and start looking at himself rather than being so quick to blame others for his losses.

maybe your mmr really differs too much so the game fills this up by putting bad players into your team.

cant blame your friend, ritos system sucks too much.

Competitive games, ruining friendships since prehistory.

Your difference in rating does affect matchmaking. Playing together, the system predicts you'll play better together than solo, and it averages your MMR. The other players in your team are more likely to be matched against stronger players and the better player in the duo will have to carry more often.

So your buddy isn't wrong.

There is only so much you can do to counter superstitious thinking and a magical world view.

You should ask him if he believes there's a way your curse/hex can be lifted...

gold means nothing when you have bronze6 mmr so yea its your fault im sure

It may be a combination of three things:

Your friend has bad mentality.
Your MMR matches your teammates against counterparts they cannot handle.
You are cursed.

I actually have this as well with my friend. Every single time we duo queue we get some of the worst of the worst.

He plays top and I play mid/jg, and nearly every game our bot lane goes a combined score of like 1-11 in the first 10 minutes.

i get this XD evrytime i have to go jungle when im playing with my friend group i will get fed ….. BUT evry lane will loose

now i know thats my bad and im just a bad jungler buts its my curse and its kind of a running joke kinda funny to know im not the only cursed one XD

btw im a adc /top main normaly
