So 20 minutes ban for games because I have a life. I got an importation phone call from a collage I want to get into so i had to stop the game and the phone call dragged out for like 10 minutes. I came back into the game and it turned into a 50/50 match that we later lost. I was playing with my friends and they knew why i left so they didn't report me. So is that how Riot punishes people for having a life instead of only playing their game I'm sorry that your game isn't the most importation thing in my life but Jesus a 20 minute leave buster don't you think it's a bit much even tho the team knew i was gone and I gave a clear reason to why I was gone. So what is the point of it. Also it wasn't even a ranked game it was normal. I understand if it was a ranked game then yes I would accept the leave buster but what annoys me is that it was just a normal.

Um, if 20 minutes is alot to you, what would you define as appropriate? I was permabanned for flamming a toxic player without any previous punishments on my account. THAT I might consider overkill, but 20 minutes? That's not a ban, that's BARELY a suspension. That's like, "Hey don't do that again"

While it does suck that this happened, something to understand about Leaverbuster is that you don't get punished for a single leave, especially the 20 minute punishment. Riot certainly understands that League is only a game, and sometimes real life things can happen that pull us away from a match in progress, so they designed Leaverbuster with some leniency so that you don't get punished for a single leave or two every once in a while. You only get punished when you show a habit of leaving multiple games.

Now, for your specific case, the fact that you have the 20 minute punishment means that you have been punished by Leaverbuster before, as it is not given out as a first punishment. You need to have gone through the 5 minute and 10 minute punishments first before reaching the 20 minute one, which means that you have already shown a habit of leaving many games in the past. Your past leaves and punishments were taken into consideration for this particular leave/punishment.
