Chat ban?

Now.. I know this is dumb and a noob thing to ask but, in ranked and normal draft i can not use the chat for some reason. I do not know if this is because I was reported for verbal abuse (I shouldn't have I barely talk unless needed or provoked) or something else. It has caused problems with making teams in said modes because I can't talk with my team about champs/switching roles/bans/etc. If some one could be kind enough to let me know what is going on I would greatly appreciate it.
