Macro bots in Twisted Treeline

This has been an ongoing issue in Twisted Treeline for some time now, and it's really starting to get out of hand. I first started noticing it about 3 months ago and while annoying to begin with, it has bloomed into a full fledged infestation. I honestly cannot remember the last time I que'd into a 3's and there wasn't a "bot" on one of the teams, always with a name like Brianagdf (first name with gibberish before or after), no keystone, and the exact same summoner icon, running it down "mid" and consistently ruining every game of 3's I've played since October.

I report said macro bots after every game, but have never gotten a confirmation that any action has been taken against them, and that's the truly disappointing part. People abusing bot programs, and ruining the game for hundreds, if not thousands, and Riot seems to have taken no action.

So I went on a little search, spamming several years of LoL board content, and while I found many topics addressing this same issue , I can find no official response from Riot on this issue. ??????????????????????????????????????? So can we possibly get a Red post on this issue, and all (if any) steps being taken to rectify it? Because it's starting to feel like if we're not playing Ranked 5's, that Riot really doesn't care.

I'd like to know what to check when I report them, just to get the most amount of attention from riot

i'm not sure if they are a part of league to compensate for low amounts of player playing there or are bots for sale leveling themselves up

If that were the case (Riot using them to compensate for low player base), then I think they'd come out and say as such. It's far more likely that they are macro bots being leveled for sale, which is very much against Riot's TOS, and should merit some form of response.

they could IP ban them but it's possible they're masking their IP so it's showing a completely random location. I guess the safest solution is just to ban them as they're indentified but there are just so many. It's safest to just leave twisted treeline be.

IP bans are for severe cases that, if memory serves, are generally reserved for human-reviewed cases only. With the amount of bots, it would take much too much resources to manually review each case.

Agreed. As was pointed out, there are many threads that have addressed the bots on Twisted Treeline for years and there hasn't really been much response by Riot on the matter. It's also unlikely that the bots are Riot-created when you compare them to the bots that we can confirm were created by Riot. If you do co-op vs AI, aside from the names, summs, and keystones, the Riot AI bots just generally handle themselves much better than the exp/IP bots on TT. Even though TT hasn't been very high on Riot's list, I'd think that if they were to employ bots aside from the typical co-op vs AI option, that the bots would be a tad bit better.

Considering that people are (for some reason) willing to pay good money for league accounts, I'm pretty sure that the people that make a business of selling league accounts adapt to changes that Riot makes and has made to weed out bot programs. I remember a while back that there were games where half of the players were bots consistently, but then that changed abruptly and I didn't see any bots for months (some people say that you don't see bots once you win enough games/hit a certain MMR/somethingIdunno, but I was pretty bad so I don't think that's what happened to me). Due to that, I feel like Riot has been making some attempts to remedy the problem that just haven't stuck. Have they put enough effort into it? Not sure about that.

Riot is ignoring them because every bot that gets leveled to 30 and sold to someone = one PROJECT: Yasuo or Arcade Riven skin sale.

Download the replay, put a support ticket in for player behaviour.

This shouldn't be reported on boards. It should be reported in game, or directly on their support page IMHO. *

It's happening in Howling Abyss too btw.

*PS sorry not having a go at you, but it should be brought to attention to actual support staff, not the "justice league" or whatever the hell they wanna call it or to the boards, as nothing really will come of it.
