Permanently suspended for something I didn't do.

This is the ticket information I put in to Riot: "I was permanently suspended apparently for using a malicious 3rd party program or modification to my League of Legends client. I'm not sure why I was banned for this, I haven't used any kind of program or made any modifications to my league client, I don't even know how to do that. I'm sure you hear this all the time for the actual hackers, but me getting banned for this is ridiculous because I truly have never done this. The only programs that interact with the League client that I have ever run were when I would stream on Twitch or record my gameplay videos with Bandicam, but nothing that would modify the gameplay. I am so completely blown away with this and have absolutely no idea what this has happened....please get into contact with me about this ASAP."

This is the response: "Hello Summoner,

Your account has been banned for the use of scripts, hacks, exploits or unauthorized third party programs to gain an unfair competitive advantage. Accounts that have been caught using hacks are permanently suspended. We strive to maintain and preserve a fair and competitive environment. We make absolutely 100% sure before banning any players. I understand you would want proof but due to there being a history of players wanting to know how to avoid being caught in the future we do not disclose information in regards to how we have confirmed this. You may not have this intention, but we have a firm stance on this matter.

I understand that hacking, scripting, exploiting, etc. is all stuff that should be handled with strict and precise action, and I totally understand why you would decide not to share how you caught the cheaters, but what about those people who aren't cheating? I don't cheat, have never used scripts, or even know how to exploit the game (nor was I even aware that there were exploits.) And what is an unauthorized 3rd party program? As I mentioned in my original post, the only things that I have ever run while playing the game were OBS when streaming to Twitch, or Bandicam to record my games and put them on YouTube. But neither of those programs made me a better player, or caused any the other players in my game to have a bad playing experience, at least that I'm aware of. And if recording my game play is going to get me banned, then this system is horribly unfair, which goes in direct contradiction with the response I got. And speaking of direct contradiction, I've seen enough cases where people were banned and then unbanned because they were improperly investigated and their ban was uncalled for....so that isn't being 100% sure before banning people.

Every system is flawed, nothing can be 100% certain. When I get banned for cheating, and I'm not cheating, it isn't 100% sure. Now I'm also aware that me saying "I'm not cheating" is about as solid of a defense as me saying my teammates are the reason I'm still in Bronze, but it's the truth. I work in IT, my computer is pretty much my life. I wouldn't put my computer at risk by downloading these programs that allow for a backdoor into my programs, that more likely than not come with horribly malicious hidden programs, and are from completely untrusted and untrustworthy sources. The fact that I am banned for hacking is entirely irrational, and I just don't understand. And if I am hacking, why am I incapable of getting out of Bronze 4? None of this makes any sense, and I'm just being brushed aside because of this so-called 100% accurate, fool-proof system that is in place. Not to mention the fact that I have a Rioter on my friends list and have played games with. Why would I cheat in a game with a Rioter? Nothing here makes any kind of sense.

I love this game, despite the many issues with the unhealthy game play that I experience on a daily basis. I have spent a great deal of time and effort into it. I'm not even upset about the rank....clearly, B4 isn't anything to write home about. But it is everything else. It's the money that I've spent on the game....the hundreds of dollars....spending money on a game that will permanently suspend me out of the blue doesn't seem logical to me. How can I play a game knowing that I will literally be banned for something I didn't do? Was my account hacked and the hacker used cheats and exploits? Not sure how my account would get hacked, but I can tell you without any shadow of a doubt that I have never used any kind of anything to give me an advantage in any game. If this is the system that is in place, a system that detects and bans people for cheating and hacking when they aren't, then something needs to be done about this...

I forgot that I use Curse Voice and used to have a program called PlaysTV which was installed through Raptr. I uninstalled OBS and PlaysTV because I began experiencing major lag spikes due to memory usage.....could that have been why I was tagged? I uninstalled PlaysTV about a week or two ago. I can't imagine it takes much longer than that to get these reports or whatever happens for you to determine a ban.

Im not certain about Plays tv. Did you use skin preview or custom skin Software? If yes which one

To be fair any other program on your computer is a 3rd party program. So yes basically everyone could be charged with this.but riot is smart enough to know that things like OBS, Curse Voice are whitelisted since they do not do anything to enchanted your game (giving you an advantage) I'm not sure what playtv is. But even if a programs have features you didn't use personally still tricks the system. This is why Curse Voice was ban when it was first released since it had Jungle Timers and other disadvantages to help a player win their games!

This is actually my first time posting on a League fourm. I come to speak on behalf of my good friend. In the League comunity he goes by NeoStele, but I know him as Joe. I've know him for about 5 years now. I was the one who got him started on League. By now we've probably played hundreds of games together. At first, I knew he only played bacause he knew I wanted to, but after a while he began to really get into it. Over the past few years I've watched Joe develope into a quality leaguer. Now that we live in different states, League has become a prime catalyst for our friendship. Once or twice a week we'd hop on curse and catch up with eachother over a couple games. One of the great things about league is that it's always evolving. It never gets old. Of course we play other games too, but for some reason, we always come back to league. For Joe, I suspect it's the fact that there's always room for improvement. That's what keeps him coming back. God knows for aslong as he's been playing the game, he's not that good. But he gets better everytime. Because Joe is a true gamer. The type of gamer that plays everygame on the hardest difficulty setting. The type of gamer who's enjoyment in victory mirrors the challenge presented. I know Joe wouldnt cheat himself out of the challenge that any given league match can offer. I also know he wouldnt cheat other players out of their fair shot. I know I can't say anything that can definitively prove his innocence and I doubt the words of one player carry much weight, but I can speak on Joe's character. And its players like Joe that make this game great. I truly hope you can find the time to give Joe's case another good look. Thanks Riot, You've always been good to me. Be good to Joe

Same exact thing happened to me and then they won't even tell me what program they are talking about on top of that I have never used any sort of bot or script for unfair advantage my account is still bronze 3 for forsake I've spent well over 500 bucks on skins and unlocked nearly all the champions and then I wake up to a email saying this third party bullshit if I have to make another account I'll never play this game again it's already bad enough to deal with 80 percent of the community and now they basically took 2 years of my life away without a second thought. You would think they'd look at my actual summoner profile and determine if I'm being truthful or not but they didn't even listen to my pleas. I even offered to let them control my PC remotely so I could actually find out what the problem is . They don't care about the consumer s at all , just a quick buck and getting over on the little guy just because he's defenseless. But in the end karma is real and whoever is responsible for this treatment will eventually get theirs in return...I miss the game but I can't support any company who just takes a shit on the diehard fans that try to keep the community going. I know exactly how you feel me.
