Why do i have to deal with people being jerks every other game, and when i finally snap on one crap face troll idiot, i get a message saying im bad for the community? I can only do sooo much polite deflection before i lose my sh*t. There has got to be a way to keep these guys out of ranked. I doint have any ideas, i just needed to vent the valve.
Unfortunately, the people in the game where you lose your... let's say "cool" instead of sh*t :] ... don't know your story; they don't know that you've been a good sport who just needs to vent after one too many negative interactions. But it goes the same for you! Maybe the players you're facing similarly are going through that situation, where they are normally fun, nice folks but are not being themselves for just a moment. Being in a competitive environment does that to people. I for one am pretty hot-headed and have to be super aware of avoiding my knee-jerk reactions so as not to escalate a bad thing.
If venting is your preferred method, might I suggest you try yelling out loud instead? Honestly, the words I say in chat are not always the words I am saying at my desk. I've mentioned this before:
Half the time I am ヾ(´▽｀;)ゝ and (｡♥‿♥｡) in-game, I am prolly actually ( ≧Д≦) and (ﾉ｀Д)ﾉ:・’∵:.┻┻ IRL.
Just like others' words affect you, remember that your seemingly small actions can make others spiky as well. Good luck, man~
I had a heavy tilted guy kinda strike back at me yesterday. Bot lane, me (ashe) support (karma), mid (lee sin)
Lee gives 1st blood within like..40 seconds of minions spawning..but he also gets a kill. 1 for 1 trade..give up 1st blood..eh..not worth but not horrible..
I get a kill bot, karma shoves other out of lane...we're doing good and just chillin' denying farm for a bit and stuff. lee dies at the same time karma gets a kill (wasn't one I could have gotten anyway, mirrored ashe bot, we both had about the same hp, so I just backed off to farm and karma got a r+q out and got her).
I say 'gj' in chat. Lee flips and is like FUCK OFF ASHE
I'm like wait wat, wasn't talking to you, karma got a kill. He didn't talk the rest of the game.
Me and karma went on a roaming spree and took all the objectives, won with either of us having more assists than the rest of the team combined.
Sometimes you just kinda gotta latch on to whoever is not tilted and hope things turn out ok.
And if you were the lee, or the type.....just take a sec and make sure you're looking at the situation correctly, sometimes it's not all about you.
Mute them.
