So I recently got demoted to S3 (i know not that high) because a nunu decided to troll by taking my camps and going to lanes to steal cs and afk in lanes to soak up XP. I don't think I should've gotten demoted for that.

That might have been the game that pushed you over the edge. But you need to first get to 0lp and lose. More than once if I am not mistaken.
It's about three loses depending on your streak. I know at one time I kept hovering around 15 LP/0/-10 LP and just one game at 0 I went down. It depends on the trend but it happens man. Just square your shoulders and keep trying. It's painful but you have to do it.
