harassment for not doing what people want you to

what is a good way to deal with it? dont say just report, some of the things people do arent really on the report thingy.

i get flamed and griefed constantly, every other game or so because people say i dont gank often enough or early enough. im like well who the fuck are you? its not my fault that you are getting your ass kicked. dont get clobbered then cry to the jungler that im not doing enough to help you, deal with your own enemy for the first 5 minutes. i just mute people when its only 1 person flaming, but often times it goes further, multiple people on the team will start doing it, 2, 3 and even 4 sometimes.

how do you fight back when you are stuck with a team of total jerks? sometimes its a group that will just make something up out of thin air and report you for it instead, even though you did nothing of the sort. sometimes you get someone that will follow you around and just steal monsters your trying to kill, just because you did or did not do one little thing they wanted you to.

usually i just go afk until the game is over and hope for nicer teammates next match, but i constantly hear derp you cant fix a wrong with another wrong and going afk is wrong. okay, what is a solution to that, that isnt the report tool because that does not fix the game im in or the people im with right now.

Oh okay I understand. You admit to going afk BUT you do not want people to flame and grief? Im about to go out on a limb here and say there might be a big reason as to why this happens to you

The most you can really do is to mute the offending players, play at the best of your ability throughout the match, and report them post-game.

What things aren't in the post-game report menu, exactly?

If people start making up things to report you for, you can report them for Verbal Abuse and Negative Attitude, and if people start following you around, actively trying to steal your CS over anything else, you can report them for Intentional Feeding (which covers all gameplay-related offenses; not just dying purposefully.)

okay, what is a solution to that, that isnt the report tool because that does not fix the game im in or the people im with right now.

Personally, what works best for me is to just concentrate on beating the enemy team for my own sake. It's not worth the time or effort to try and fight my own team on top of them, and at the end of the day, I want to win, and having a team of jerks isn't going to change that fact.

Other suggestions I've seen made here on the PB boards is to just focus on playing your game in the match; strive for self-improvement, set personal goals in that match, etc.

And, yes, the report feature may not change things in the here and now, but it will still have an effect down the road. Toxic players do get punished, and not reporting just ensures that those players don't get punished for their misbehavior.

They should also report you for AFK

intentional feeding includes stealing monsters? okay, thank you :)

and thats my problem is i think i just dont feel like playing anymore when my team is full of jackasses. i dont like waiting through the 30 minute afk timer, but its better than sitting through a terrible game with awful people. when people are nice, i never have a problem. and i generally do better as well.

when people like this Boppas who purposefully misinterpret what i said so he input his own story, i get really annoyed.

i would like for there to be a quicker way other than reporting to punish people for being jerks, but i can see how other jerks would probably find a way to abuse it. like limit their gold income by a certain amount or something, idk. or turn their character into a giant donkey's ass lol. or if theyre flaming, light their character on fire and kill them.
