#NoToxicity, The End to the Madness
Hi Riot and friends,
I come here, as a time traveler, to present to you the solution to the madness. The solution to the inexplicably angry gamers. The end of an era of unnerving wit. The solution... to all of the toxicity in the community... the gaming league... of legends. And the beginning to an idyllic gaming experience. Welcome to the #NoToxicity campaign.
It's simple. The community begins spreading this hashtag, #NoToxicity. League of Legends FB groups and other social media outlets promote #NoToxicity through tagging themselves in things with it. Examples include, you and a tiger you didn't kill #NoToxicity, you and a person you're not flaming (irl or ig) #NoToxicity, etc. etc.
Over time and through implementation of this hashtag, in games of league, eventually, at champion select, people will begin (and I urge everyone to start) doing #NoToxicity, thus urging each other to participate and enjoy the game. This beginning, this "setting the stage," if you will, will promote good sportsmanship on the fields of justice.
Since this sounds completely bogus and overly optimistic, let me theorycraft a bit here: When you enter a toxic lobby, people either do not communicate or they outwardly begin being hostile. With #NoToxicity, it sets a precedent; that you (at the very least) will not be toxic.
Here, I must define "toxic," as there seems to be much confusion. No, I am not referring to the 9-1-3 Yasuo shitting on his 0/9/1 Rengar. Yes, that is a toxic behavior, but not the kind I am addressing per se. I am addressing de facto toxicity. That is, "Toxic: Poisonous, virulent, noxious, deadly, dangerous, harmful, injurious, pernicious behavior." Some examples would include afking, trolling your teammates, purposefully throwing the game, and blaming other teammates for the loss.
As the wise Doublelift once said, "You have to understand that in solo queue, any time you die, it's almost exclusively your fault. You can always play better and you can't change your team."
The Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything, is, "What's 7x6?"
Cheers, and see you on the fields...
of Justice.
SupporT roll, out.
