i got a 10 games ban chat for being toxic to my team( bot was 0-3 1-4 in min 7-8) after i finished my games and now i can't get hextech how long i going to take to end this thing?

ps :is the 1st time i got ban chat

I had a ten game restriction and it took about 3-4 days to get privileges returned.

I was, however, channeling my inner kindergarten teacher for a lot of that :)

Well, i got a chat ban 2 months ago, and still cant get chests for whatever reason. Riot hasnt released any information on how long it takes to get "reformed" but people are reporting times upwards of 6 months.

Ban also affect loot eligibility, not just chat restrictions.

The more severe the penalty, the longer it will take. A single chat ban would not affect eligibility for long at all, if a player doesn't exhibit further negative behavior.

Can ineligibility be extended even without receiving any sort of ban escalation?

I'm wondering if people who only partially reform and might not be as bad as they once were (and so might not be quite ban-escalation worthy) might still sometimes be maintaining sub-par behavior enough to prolong their ineligibility.

i feel like losing hextech for a 10 game chat restriction is too harsh. chat restrictions are essentially warnings. and it doesnt take much to get one nowadays especially with all the people trying to bait people into getting banned

while this is true. as a formerly toxic player myself. i feel like borderline and reforming players are getting the short end of the stick. and i feel there should be more tools for people with little self control other than "mute and report" its too easy for players to troll in game and not type. and you can mute a flamer/rager. but not a troll and many of these players wouldn't be a problem if they could simply mute themselves before the game. not to mention. not everyone playing the game is an adult "sadly" and when dealing with kids they ARENT "responsible for thier own actions" because thier brains may not be developed to the point they havethe mental capacity to ignore someone who's a problem

30-40 games without being (validly) reported. is what other people who've gotten loot again say.

if you are still toxic, it will extend that period.
