bad internet vs leaving

So, I'm not sure this is the correct place to put this, and I'm also not sure how relevant it is, or if there are even people who are having similar difficulties as I am, but here goes.

To start with I would just like to point out that league has been my favorite multiplayer game since it's conception, and I have played it on and off since beta. However, recently my family moved to a new home, and in this new home we've been having internet difficulties. Basically the internet drops about once a day at seemingly random times, and time intervals. Thus, my faulty internet continues to disconnect me form games. As such I have been racking up large sums of these low priority queues, and it seems that at least twice a week I'm stuck in these 20 minute long low priority queues. I have been trying to fix the internet, but Comcast is no help, and they are also the only provider in town so we can't switch.

I suppose I'm posting this more as a question to see if the guys over at riot have any plans of giving more lenient punishments to people who merely disconnect compared to people who actually leave games. I only ask because it's beginning to reach a point where I may have to give league up all together. I unfortunately don't have the time on my hands to be sitting through an hour worth of low priority queues multiple times a week anymore now that I'm in college, and trying to focus on studies.

Very much doubt it. Regardless of the reason for a leave it's still negatively affecting everyone in the game the exact same way, so functionally speaking a disconnect and a ragequit are identical. I know that's kind of a frustrating answer, but even an unintended internet outage causes a pretty bad experience for other players.

How about the ability to be more easy on those who disconnect due to bugsplat errors? I can't list how many times I've been slapped with a low priority que because I've been bugsplatted out of a game.

Daen is right. It sucks, but thats how it goes. I've been disconnected due to internet issues myself before.. I logged into league a couple days ago because I guess I was reported by everyone and got a notice saying if I continue I'd get some kind of punishment. But those long ques... wow. Seriously that long? Never heard of that before and I started playing back in Season 1.

I have the exact same problem. I was playing a game on twisted treeline to kill time for my friends to log on and my internet died in champ select(i did pick a champ but it DCed) So when i eventually got in a game(5 or 10 minutes later) I am not even very far behind so i start playing and do really well, but once the game was over and we won I still got screwed with 5, 20 minute low priority queues and now I'm sitting here waiting so i can actually play the damn game. I love this game but I think I may just quit if this crap keeps happening. You need to figure out some way to make it so people who actually leave get punished and us who have horrible internet connections don't.
