If I say 'ez' a few times will I be punished?

So basically i'm at honor level 5, for about 4 months straight until December I don't recall having broken any chat rules in any way possible. Recently while i've been in games people on the other teams have been so confident that they'll win that they start taunting the team i'm on in the chat. If somehow we ever manage to pull the game back and win, i sometimes say 'gg ez' or 'ez' in contrast to the regular 'gg wp' without thinking about it. I've said it about 3 times in the last 30 days, and I just wanted to ask if it's possibly pulling my account reputation down? Thanks in advance for replies

I report every single person that says GG EZ. Mainly, because it annoys me more that they are trying to game the system.

Saying 'ez' at the end of a match, in and of itself, is not generally enough for a punishment. However, it is considered poor sportsmanship, so spamming it all game or in conjuction with other negative behavior can contribute towards a punishment.

I would also be unsurprised if it's one of the minor things that can slow a player's honor gain as it's a negative, if rarely punished, action.

TBH, unlikely but my advice is to play it safe and just avoid saying "ez". It's better sportsmanship and most likely you know why most people say "ez". Also, i report anyone who says "ez" for negative attitude anyway, so I know there are people out their who do the same.

did you lose honor level 5?

Saying 'ez' shouldn't even be a thing.

  • First scenario: both teams have been neck and neck for 50 minutes, a team fight gets won by blue team, enabling them to push for the win. 2-3 people in the Blue team decide to say 'gg ez' or 'ez' or any variant of that, even though it very much wasn't, but are just looking to tilt others for no reason.
  • Second scenario: you get matched up with someone 2-3 divisions and hopefully therefore, of higher skill level than you are, you get promptly screwed in lane because of it, having your opponent spam 'ez' or '???????' along with their mastery 7. this happens every single time.

How do you feel? What kind of reaction should you have? It's not about having thicker skin, it's about being a decent human being and being sportsmanlike.

It's just a very serious case of being a cocky winner, or being absolutely carried (talking to those that go 2/14/4 during the game and say 'ez' at the end)

I don't have any hard numbers, but my personal experience is players I get grouped with tend to report "EZ" or any other unsportsmanlike behavior. The opponent is angling to add insult to injury, nothing more. Sure, having "thicker skin" is great as it'll help you dust yourself off and continue to your next game, but again, there's no reason for the winner to say "EZ" other than to insult the person they just beat. It's just not cool.

TL;DR - Bad manners, POSSIBLY will hurt your honor rating, if that matters to you.

Imo saying ez game is rude, but not enough to be report worthy. I see no need to spam Riot with such minor things when we have much higher levels of toxicity to be dealt with.

Its extremely unlikely.

I don't think it'll get you punished. If there's a game where the enemy team is so confident and trash talking your team about how they're going to win and then you end up winning and you fire back with gg ez, I would consider that trash talk rather than toxicity.

If they didn't type anything, I would just consider that more of gloating and being a sore winner.

EDIT: that being said, I wouldn't spam anything. If you're going to say it, say it once and only once.

I think you could tell Ezreal Good Game every game and never receive a punishment. You've seen the chat logs of people who get punished. It is never for just telling ezreal good game

It’s pretty BM and obviously not true if you’re saying you were losing but turned the game around. But if they started BMing you first and you do it I’m ok with it. Now if they report you for it after they BMed that’s pretty laughable and pitiful on their end. It really only annoys me when I lose hard and the enemy does it to me. It’s weird when someone who got carried does it as well, then I’m just kind of bitter and may or may not report for it.
