Elo Boosting advert friend request

Today I got a friend request from someone I don't know, a player with the IGN: take010 on the eune server. His account showed his elo as diamond when I hovered on his name in the friend list but when I opened his profile he was actually bronze. He sent me a message saying that I got a 50% discount on some elo boosting service and sent me a link. I sent him a "-_-" and unfriended him. Has this happened to anyone before? I am worried that he me accepting his friend request or sending him that text could compromise my account or something since apparently his profile was fk'ed up showing diamond from the friend list and bronze in the profile and this could be some sort of a hack. Could he hack my account or something? Should I change my password? Also is there a way to report that person to riot?
