Why are people so toxic?

Just had a ranked match while going Braum support and I noticed something strange during the loading screen. The enemy team had no support but had a Singed Jungle and I knew this wasn't going to be fun at all for the enemy team since they had a troll. The minute the match started Singed went top lane with Irelia and by the looks of it, he wouldn't listen to pings and just ran it down between the first turret and second. Now at this point, everyone one on my team knew that it was going to be a free win. Were we happy? I wasnt for sure because i felt like we didnt deserve it. I felt bad for the enemy team having to deal with someone like that in their ranked game which ruins the purpose of trying to win a match.

This isn't the worst part though, his summoner name was and I quote: <Removed by moderation>

Riot somehow let this offensive summoner name slip by even though racism isn't condoned in League Of Legends...

People who are like this Singed shouldn't be playing the game because it just makes the game and unfair environment for myself, my teammates, and others who play for fun, which is probably the reason why people are switching more often to Fortnite...

I've been playing League ever since the end of 2013 for a little bit and got back on in the year 2015 but throughout the games I have played, I have never intentionally ran it down and feed on purpose...

Have i ever been mad before in a match? Yes...

Have I always given up because i knew we would lose? Yes...

Have I ever trolled a ranked match and feed on purpose? Hell no...

Of course im not trying to say that Im some sort of Super chill person that is the perfect example of how a player should be, because im not...

My point is we shouldn't take this game too seriously to the point where we get mad and throw games just because we didnt get what we wanted. It may be a competitive game but its not like you have invested your whole into it...

This Singed should be banned including people who are also the same like him/her to make this community a better place, so I urge Riot to enforce these issues to help players who are trying to have a good time in the competitive environment. After all if i can refrain myself, so can you. Its not that difficult

Hey there. I've removed the other player's name as well as the link to the match history since you're clearly pointing them out even without the name. We have rules here against naming and shaming other players by accusing them of something or putting them in a negative light, regardless if they're guilty of something or not. In the future, please try to be sure to omit any info that personally identifies other players in posts like these.

To be fair, Riot has been known to not having the best filter when it comes to Summoner Names. But we are able to report that, so if you do see that report that! To answer your topic question, it mainly has to deal with no REAL punishment. People troll because they know they will get a reaction out of people. People especially in League Of Legends, loves to react towards other toxic people or trolls. They get their kicks when they know you are upset and you react to that. With that said, even when they are finally punished, they really arent. They lose their account, but it was probably a throw-a-way account anyway. They'll be able to make a new one, and continue to troll. Not only that, but because of you reacting to them they have an even more chance of getting you ban as well.

You wanna stop these types of people? Stop reacting, and actually ignore them. Yes you are going to lose games because of these people, but its better to take a lost in a match, than lose your account forever!
