When did lagging become a disconnect?

Greetings,

I was playing a Co-Op vs AI game with a friend, on my laptop and the battery started to become drained. As I was backing to buy items in the fountain, I quickly plugged in my charger and continued to play. After I started lagging a bit, I minimized my screen to make sure there weren't any back-ground programs running and there weren't. I put up with the lag and finished the game.

When the game was over, I was asked to say, "I agree," to not leave a game again or could face punishment of being banned. This seemed rather strange to me, considering I finished the game and had a pretty awesome score. 26-6-13 or something like that on Ashe (Yes, I died six times to Intermediate bots lol).

As this "warning" message seems to be more like an "error message" I'd appreciate some advice as to how to avoid it from happening to me again in the future and also to newer players, as it doesn't seem fair.

Thanks, Merc

This could have several engineering problems with your machine's internet connection/battery usage. How old is your machine, what model is it, and what is the type of connection you are using for it (wifi/eth)?

You can get that message when you do not take any actions in game for a significant period of time. I'm guessing that happened when you get your charger and/or had the league game minimized. This is in place to ensure that people that afk without leaving the game are also punished.

This was probably your first offense so I doubt you have much to be worried about just make sure that your computer is ready to play when you start a game!
