Banned for using a "third party program," only used LoLwiz, please help!

I have only been playing this game for a little over a year, when I tried to log in today I received a notice that my account was banned for "malicious third party programs." The only programs I have ever used are curse voice and LoLwiz. To the best of my knowledge, neither of these programs constitute a ban. I have climbed all the way to Diamond 5 and have fully supported this game and want to continue to do so. I have submitted a ticket but the wait times are high due to the high number of tickets so I am looking for more clarity and would love a response from Riot. I feel like I have done nothing wrong and am confused by this ban. Here is a screen shot of the email that I received. http://imgur.com/maM5CDz I did the best that I could to find Riot's stance on Lolwiz, which is the only 3rd party program that I could think of that would have flagged my account for "malicious 3rd party programs".

Sneaky and Meteos use lolwiz on stream all the time so it doesnt seem right that you'd get banned. Hopefully this gets resolved and you get your account back.

Thanks for the post Kenny. I read that online and am trying to figure out why I was banned. Being the only "third party program" besides curse voice (also not a bannable offense) I am confused and frustrated with my account being banned.

Dude it's essentially cheating. With lolwiz you can know what runes and masteries they are using in the game and how it affects their stats. And how good they are and how many games theyved played. If you know all of that going against them will be easier. Why do you think they don't show you all of the enemies stats in game?

If I was scripting I would understand why I was banned.... This game really isn't hard enough to even entertain the thought of using a program to cheat with, I just hope this gets resolved so I can continue to play.

LoLwiz is the same as na.op.gg or lolnexus, I don't see how this is an advantage in the game.

youre getting information on the enemy that riot specifically and purposefully DOESNT give you. Its an advantage to scout and is illegal in some form in most every competitive sport.

Until you realize that they can't give it out in-game, but they do give it out in the API. If they were trying to keep it from us, they wouldn't give access to it in the API. It also might be illegal in most competitive sports, but it's not in LoL. The only advantage it gives, if this is even considered one, is it tells you their rank and how many ranked games they've played with that specific champion. Scouting is illegal in team sports because it gives access to plays, signals, and other things to make the other person easier to read. The things that can give a play away in-game are a game-by-game basis and aren't as predictable as formations or hand signs.

I agree, I put my ticket in but they have insane wait times due to a high number of tickets received. I guess I am just hoping that someone reads this who can help/has the authority to check up on it.

They won't tell you what program they discovered. They keep this information to themselves so that people have a hard time knowing what illegal programs they can get away with because Riot can't detect them.

Though, they'll still look into it again when they get to your ticket. Mistakes happen.

Also be aware that it doesn't matter if you utilized a malicious program; if it's in your LoL files and is detected it will still count.

Thanks for the reply! I agree 100%, I am hoping that this will be resolved when they are able to get to the ticket, however Riot has a rather firm hand on these matters. I am pretty frustrated.

So what you are saying is that Bronze League trolls have finally created a stealth virus that affects your LoL files to make it look like you are scripting? Basically spiking their opponents water bottle with PED's before a test.

Actually, according to the TOS, they're only allowed to scan memory during the game's run in order to determine if there's something afoot (and even this is a little sketchy, if challenged in court). So, yes, it matters if he utilized it. Riot isn't allowed to scan the contents of your hard drive.

i used lolsumo and got banned wtf riot games? Won 6 rankeds in a row with supports didnt flame nothinf did great the other day i go on lol and i see perma ban....?
