Insight on my punishment

Hi there. For some context, I was banned yesterday for my toxic behavior spread throughout several games as you can see from the chat logs below. I was at the lowest tier of punishment at the time of the ban (meaning that my account has been punishment-free for a long time). However, even while maintaining this reputation, my in-game behavior caused my punishment to escalate past the first AND second tier, resulting in a 14-day ban. The chat logs I am posting are the complete chat logs I have recieved on my reform card and I am not hiding anything.

Note: I have not created this thread to prove my innocence, nor to claim that I was not toxic during my games. I admit it, I was toxic in these games and possibly made someone's playing experience unenjoyable. I'm here to explain why I believe that a 14-day suspension for this behavior is unreasonable, and to see others' unbiased perspectives on this. A lot of the time when I am playing alongside my friends I type excessively in chat and make silly jokes to try and get them to laugh. And with this, I sometimes go overboard with the chat and my words negatively affect someone who isn't premade and might ruin their experience. I am aware that this is not acceptable.

This is my first time posting on the forums and I thought I would post on here to listen to other players'/rioters'/arbiters' opinion on the matter and if the punishment given is reasonable. Please feel free to provide your insight. I have numbered every line so it is easier to refer to a specific part of the chat. Below, I am going to mention every part of this chat that I deem to be "toxic behavior" and explain further.

Lines that I think have been flagged by the system, resulting in my punishment:

Line 10: This line probably got flagged because it seems like an insult towards another player. However, my use of the words "puny idiot dumb head" was not intended to be taken as an insult, but it is rather to be taken lightly, as a joke (hence the word "head").

Line 45: This might have been flagged, I'm not certain but I'll explain anyways. Over here I am typing in all chat to an Akali that called my friend really bad (or something like that) and I simply tried to defend my friend

Lines 81-86: I believe what I had said in these lines is the main reason for why my punishment had actually skipped to a 14-day ban (correct me if I am wrong). In the first part where I say "fuck off" and "fuck u", that actually isn't directed to anyone other than my friend. I believe nobody else had even said anything in chat before this so there would really be no way that it could be directed at anyone else. The second part (lines 86 and 84), unfortunately I cannot defend in any way, as it was incredibly stupid on my part and cannot be justified. You can see me saying "%%%" to my Lux, which I understand is completely unacceptable and that saying something like this is up there (in terms of seriousness) with homophobic and racist chat.

So why I said that to Lux (sounds really stupid I know)....:

My friend was playing the "DeLux Jam (LuxMix)" song in Discord (which I hate because it gets stuck in my head every time and she knows that) and at the same time coincidentally, we had a Lux on our team. I decided that it would be a good idea (clearly not..) to express my "attitude" towards the song by saying what I did in chat. I am ashamed of what I did and have definitely learned my lesson to not immaturely say such kind of things, especially towards players I do not recognize. I did not mean what I had said to our Lux and I would never wish that upon anyone, it was just impulsive and irresponsible.

Line 117: Me replying to my friend saying "how u losser to this guy" as funny banter (it's clear that I directed this to nobody else) Line 121: Me replying to my friend saying "ur mom is champ" again just banter that means nothing Line 173: This is me solely replying to my friend as he said "your nob" and then pinged me multiple times (as a joke). He would keep taking my kill at the last moment (which I thought was funny, nothing toxic here)

As you can see it isn't directed at anyone but my friend as a joke.

That's all for the lines that I think are worthy of a punishment. If you guys see any other parts I missed let me know.

In conclusion, I know that I deserve a punishment for this (especially what I said in game 3) but I don't think a 14-day ban is reasonable considering my history and considering that I'm honour level 5 which tells me that a lot of people have actually enjoyed playing with me in the past. I don't intend to ruin the game for anyone, but I can get carried away in my own fun sometimes

EDIT: I have every game recorded (thanks to plays tv) and I can send both recordings and screenshots from these games to support my claims

Assuming the censored portion was an encouragement to self harm or a slur (the two three letter phrases censored on the boards), that is why. Both are subject to a zero tolerance policy and earn a 14-day ban on the first confirmed offense.

Lines 84 and 86, the words that got changed to %'s would be what jumped you up. There is a zero tolerance policy for that kind of language.

If you had not said that, you would've just ended up with a chat ban instead. But that is definitely enough to escalate you to a 14 day ban.

It's 100% reasonable sorry to say for you to earn a 14-day ban. What i find interesting is the difference in you're way of talking in game as compared to what's written here. Bare in mind, even if whatever you type in chat isn't directed at anyone, it still creates a negative environment and mood. Imagine saying FU%% THIS SH%% in a children's hospital, what do you think nurses/doctors will do? (They'd warn you several times.. then kick you out)

OMG i remember that. I have been in that game too or someone stole your jokes with typos.

If yes, i was the Lux rocking bot who got flamed for KSing all the time :D that game was real fun ( well, not for the wannabecarry who rather loses then not be the hero ). That game was all friendly banter and some sweet mid tears bcs, you know, better lose then getting carried by a sup ...

Problem: No matter how friendly, you cant say certain things. People got banned ( appealed and unbanned after a human took a look ) for flaming themself with sentences like "OMG i am so stupid, i should kill myself". There is an automated chat analysis that doesnt get "complicated" grammar, and Customer Support sees it all out of context. Its better to just not write things that can be seen as toxic, if out of context. The customer support doesnt know that the guy is your best friend, all they see are the chat logs and that somebody reported you.
