Even if you don't see the other player was punished, doesn't mean no action was taken. Your account was given a two-week suspension and skipped the chat restrictions due to extreme toxicity. This is the punishment for the use of these words. Telling others to kill themselves and hate speech is not tolerated as they are considered highly offensive and hurtful. There is never a good reason to ever use these words. I want to help you to the best of my ability and right now the only option left is to help prevent you from future punishments as the next one is a permanent ban. Focus on yourself and your own gameplay. Don't worry about others and you will be fine. I'm confident you're capable of preventing a permanent ban. Just be careful from here on out since this is a two-week suspension and only one step away from a permanent ban. I don't want to see that as I'm sure neither do you. So I recommend not using the chat function for a while. If necessary, consider moving the chat box off screen. You can do so by clicking and dragging the bar. If you feel the need to respond to their negativity, take a moment to recognize if what you're about to say will help the team or create a bigger rift. Don't know why this is down-voted. Its good to spread awareness of zero tolerance policy. Doesn't matter if people agree with the rule or not, this is the current state of the game. I wish I could up-vote you, but my boards profile is bugged, so I can't even though I'm over lvl 30. :(

Doesn't matter what he thinks. There's no reason to down-vote someone spreading awareness. In all honestly, I don't think saying k.y.s alone should be ban-able, but that kind of policy isn't up to me. However; you shouldn't down-vote someone just for having a different opinion than you do.

edit: cue instant down-votes for saying I don't think k.y.s is a big deal. Chill, it's just my opinion.

Yup, sarcastic tone gets the down vote. Who cares if its spreading awareness. You shouldn't need to be told to not say "KYS" cause you might get banned. I'd rather people not know as they deserve the ban.

Then doesn't that mean that you agree with OP? Also, you only assumed there was a sarcastic tone. You didn't bother asking OP to elaborate on anything, so you are being unfair to OP.

When you try to be too nice, you end up using violence/aggression/toxicity to uphold your belief. This is a problem, not the solution. This is the primary problem with trying to be too hard to be politically correct. :-)

Of course not. My issue with what you said is that your first thought is to condemn a person with different opinions or a different sense of morality than your own. It shows a lack of empathy that many people are all to familiar with nowadays. People are quick to condemn others for actions they deem intolerant, but when they are put in a similar situation they expect a bit of understanding. I'm sure that there is no person on here who hasn't said something they learned or overheard without realizing that it might offend others or even result in negative consequences. Ignorance is not the same as toxicity and if someone is truly ignorant of something, don't rationalize that they are a bad person and deserve it without giving them a fair chance to explain themselves.

That tone is an assumption. Whether that assumption is correct or not, it is funny to see people become toxic because they are trying too hard to be good guys.

Solid advice. I wasn't sure they elaborate on what to do to prevent future punishments.

This happened to me exactly the same way! I got a 14-day ban a month ago for saying kys. I learned from it, restrained myself, but I also said a cuss word towards another player this time gasp. I was perma-banned :)! One 14-day ban issued as a warning, the second time around the zero-tolerance got me despite me restraining myself to the best of my abilities.

Well if you said a cuss word only a month after a 14 day ban you clearly didn't learn from it.
