I hit gold 5 this season and was ecstatic about my rewards, i have never been banned at all. I was on a chat restriction for defending myself and my duo partner in game. I think this is unfair if they are not giving me my rewards after 1 chat restriction for defending myself.

If you send them a ticket and explain that you were in school studying and didn't have time to play to get rid of your chat restriction they might go easy on you and give you your rewards anyway. Some guy in another thread did it, which is completely unethical of Riot, but they don't really care about fairness in the least, so you might as well give it a shot.
