The Remake Is Being Abused, I Am Sick Of It

So far, I have 3 leaves on my account because of remake. My duo partners clearly tell them that I am connecting, was at 99% and bam...Game gets remake because they decided to give first blood and didn't want to play the match anymore. People abuse the system when they decide to mess up. There has to be some type of detection on if the player is in the process of reconnecting or not.

So either the system needs to be reworked, or it needs to be removed. Because players like me that have issues sometimes connecting at first, and actually are reconnecting back are getting penalized because sadly, our community sucks.

It's being properly used in your case, not abused.

You took more than 3 minutes to reconnect, with no telling how long it would take you to actually get in. "99%" means next to nothing, as anyone who has ever used a computer can tell you that estimates are almost always wrong.

Especially with the recent wave of corrupt files coming from the last several patches, at least in my case, which has caused me to get crashes, dcs and bugsplats, thus causing me to have to repair/repatch/restart. This has also caused me grief as well as costing me LP.

I think it worked perfectly.

You possibly ruined the early game for your team.

You could not help stop a invade/ leash for your jungle.

You lost at least 2 waves of minions.

You gave up lane pressure allowing the enemy team to focus a tower/lane with their jungle with no response available.

You gave the enemy team a gold and exp advantage.

The list could go on.......

Bottom line your dc/afk ruins the game for others.

yeah maybe just dont play ranked if you are having this issue happen so often? I can tell you that the difference between a victory or a loss could very easily be determined within the first 3-5 minutes of the game, and you not being there could very easily be the reason it ends up a loss. sorry you have a bad pc/internet/whatever but dont risk the lp of someone else just because you feel like risking it.

As far as I knew first blood prevented remake, did something change recently?

Last I had seen was "if player X doesn't connect to the game within the first 3 minutes of the match a remake vote will happen, however if first blood already happened, remake will not be available"

Three minutes is already a generous window. Entering the game at three minutes in puts you very far behind. It's possible to catch up, but you're in a lot of danger while doing so. A Jungler entering at three minutes won't get a good leash and may have already been counter-jungled, an ADC or Support entering at three minutes has put their lane partner at an extreme disadvantage during that time frame, and a Mid or Top entering at three minutes is going to be facing a drastically stronger opponent. The first few minutes of League are a race for early XP, and completely missing out on that can be crippling.

This is double true if you enter lane at level 1 and quickly die, which is very realistic, because then you've given your opponents an even greater gold advantage and are going to take forever to once again run back to lane and attempt to farm under tower.
