It's bullshit when people get outright banned from the game after that stupid "one two week ban and we terminate your account" bullshit. You need to bring back the chat limitation punishment, as that is an actual fair punishment for people talking shit in game. Seriously, what sadistic assholes came up with your current ruling!?
You already got those as a warning, and considering your behavior in this post, you think they dont apply to you, and went on being a rude little shit.
If someone wont fix their behavior, trash gets taken out so nobody else has to deal with the liability of an unstable and uncommunicative teammate.

Chat restrictions are still a thing, just in 10 and 25-game form as the normally first and second punishments respectively. As far as perma-mutes are concerned Riot Tantram posted about this a few months ago:
It really breaks down into two categories.
1.) Helping players reform 2.) Shielding others from the behavior, at a cost.
We used to issue chat restrictions that essentially scaled indefinitely.
We were able to determine that after a certain point the penalty no longer helped with reform. The 10-game and 25-game counts for chat restrictions are based on data that they were both light enough, and felt strict enough to encourage people to understand their behavior is unacceptable in game and change it.
We also saw that the players in this 'large restriction' category defaulted to gameplay altering means of harassing their team. It caused an increase in feeding and trolling.
The sample size of this population and time frame is huge. Essentially the time spanning from the introduction of chat restrictions to the introduction of IFS.
So my question for you is, would you rather have more feeders and less negative chat?

Meh I guess that didn't work too well. Constant chat restricts just make assholes start trolling and fucking with people through gameplay, instead of chat. I mean, I agree they should permaban accounts for chat offenses, but just chat restricts is kind of dumb. I say just keep hitting em with longer and longer temp bans. Add a week everytime.
