x9 reported by team cause my team was mad

Hello how is it going? I'm sure there are hundreds of posts about this situation or people who have been in this situation before. I got chat restricted for being toxic and I can definitely see how that came to pass because my behavior wasn't at the best during the game. I only have to say that everyone tilts at some point when your team isn't doing well, including myself, but when people go out of their way to x9 report you for banter and toxicity I think there is a certain lvl that is acceptable. I never have told my team to kill themselves or uninstall the game. The most i have said in the games i have been considered toxic from tilting is "my team is shit". I know this is unacceptable, yet why can my teammates get away with calling me shit yet them not get punished as well? I find it very fascinating as to how the tribunal can chat restrict you for something so simple. I've been in instances where my teammates weren't that toxic, but i definitely was involved in x9 reporting that person. Now that i find myself in this situation I definitely feel that this system isn't really that great. Does anyone else feel that it's unfair to be banned for something so simple? I mean in every game there is that 1 guy who is just an asshole, but seriously every game has to have some type of banter. Is it acceptable to be chat restricted when you legit mute everyone on your team period? I seriously don't get this game anymore. I feel like its gotten worse as the years go on and this tribunal system hasn't done anything to really fix the problems of toxic players. Anyways just thought i would share my thoughts on the matter. Only 27 games to go of chat restrictions. Here we go !

...but when people go out of their way to x9 report you...

Getting 9x reported has no difference from being 1x reported. If the amount of reports you receive in a match is greater than zero, the IFS will review your behavior and issue a punishment if appropriate.

I find it very fascinating as to how the tribunal can chat restrict you...

The Tribunal was iceboxed indefinitely four years ago. The current punishment system is the Instant Feedback System, or IFS for short.

...people go out of their way to...report you for banter and toxicity I think there is a certain lvl that is acceptable.

You do realize that "banter" and "toxicity" are polar opposites, right? If you were toxic, there was no banter. Banter is friendly, light-hearted, well-meant. It is literally the antonym of toxicity.

Please do not call toxicity "banter", or use "banter" as though it goes hand-in-hand with toxicity.

It doesn't.

...yet why can my teammates get away with calling me shit yet them not get punished as well?

You don't know whether or not they got punished.

And no, the Instant Feedback Reports are not a good indicator as to whether or not someone got punished. Those pop-ups are rare as hell.

Present your chat logs. You can call it simple, and it very well could be - as far as we know, your chat fell below the line of acceptable behavior.

I mean in every game there is that 1 guy who is just an asshole, but seriously every game has to have some type of banter.

Firstly, read above: Banter is not synonymous with toxicity. If you are being an asshole, IT IS NOT BANTER.

Second, the "every game has that one guy" excuse doesn't work. No game should have that one guy. Nobody likes dealing with that one guy, so don't be that one guy.

Is it acceptable to be chat restricted when you legit mute everyone on your team period?

That depends - do you still rant and rave about your teammates being shit, or complain incessantly? If so, then yes. It's acceptable for you to be chat restricted. Muting your teammates doesn't spontaneously exempt you from the rules.
