So, as the title says, I just got banned for telling my friend "%%%" which could stand for: "Kill yourself". But I meant "Kiss yourself". Everything meant as a joke to my friend.

These are the chat logs of the game; they're in spanish tho:

Game 1 Biscoss: %%% bard Biscoss: %%% Biscoss: rofl Biscoss: Le tengo muteado al zed Biscoss: xd Biscoss: asi que no pasa nada Biscoss: You gotta do it faster Biscoss: Like this

People say this again and again, but using that abbreviation to mean "kiss yourself" has literally no basis that I can see, and the alternative meaning DOES have a widely known definition. Sure, it could also mean "King Yango's Salamander," but we all know what it usually means.

Riot has a zero tolerance policy for that abbreviation. If you wish to tell a friend to kiss himself, use other words to do so. Better yet, tell him in a whispered message, which are specifically designed to enable you to goof off with friends without worrying about the report system.

The thing to remember here is that even if you had explained to your team that you were friends, they don't know for sure what Bard is thinking. All your teammates see is you telling a teammate to kill themselves, which is never appropriate. Suicide and self-harm are not jokes, and attempting to reform an acronym that only means "kill yourself" on the internet isn't a joke either. It's extremely untactful for you to attempt to do so, and shows a lack of consideration for other players and how that phrase may affect them.

Bottom line: that's not a joke, and don't try to use it as one.

Don't do it in the game. Do it outside the game.

That's a bad joke and not acceptable even in a joking manner.

and the rest of the team had to listen to what you said, Just because you were kidding does not mean you will not be punished

you have to understand what it looks like to your team!! that being said, if you can get your friend to post here saying it was just a joke, i think a rioter might take another look at your punishment, that's what ive seen them do before. you might have to get everyone on your team to post too, but hopefully not.

Okay so I regret everything I did in that game, I had honor 5 in my account and it was a normal game. I had to mute a few of the players too. But it won't happen again. Thank you guys for your opinions

Doesn't matter if you're joking or not. That phrase is not allowed and leads to an instant ban.

Think of the game like being at an airport. You're not "Chilling" at home with friends. You're in a public place where security is taken seriously. So you don't joke about bombs and guns unless you want a long conversation in a back room with TSA people and police.
