The depressing state that I face with league those past months..

Hello there

I have been playing League for about 4-5 years with no problem at all and I've invested a lot of money and time on this game. The name of my account is Fáke Messiah, just your typical platinum guy, nothing special.

About 2 months ago, I had my account permanently banned, because Riot claims I used exploits/cheats. Well, the thing is I never used anything other than a program called Skinpreview for applying custom skins in-game.This program never EVER provided anything more than that and yet I was accused for using cheats that apparently give me an advantage over other players.

I have already sent a lot of tickets to Riot Support, but I only get the same answer which is "We checked everything on your account and it's clear that you used exploits/cheats so we are not going to remove the suspension". I tried a lot of times contacting with them and I even asked them to check my replays to see that I've never used any kind of hack/cheat. But once again, I was turned down, without any further investigation. I re-installed League and removed the program mentioned earlier and I tried to convince them again to check my account but nothing.

The thing is, I would't make such a fuss over an account if I DID use cheats. But I can't let Riot judge me incorrectly, without trying to believe me and take away my 5 year old account for a false accusation.

What do you suggest me to do? Any idea is acceptable and helpful. Thank you! (also if any rioter was able to contact with me that would be great)

You cant do anything. Unfortunately Riot is a scum company that wants you to make a new account, spend more money, and go fuck yourself.

It's pretty clear with the abundance of people getting banned/permabanned just for using these innocent mods, that Riot doesn't give a fuck about you or I. Look at their terms of service -- they essentially set themselves up as Gods over your account and any money you put into this game or time you put into this game, belongs to them and you're never ever getting anything back from them if they fuck up your account somehow.

It is their game, and a lot of companies are similar in that sense. If you mod your Xbox, you'll get your account banned if you get caught (If I am wrong about this, keep in mind I haven't heard anything different since mid-Xbox 360 era). In most MC servers, you hack, you get banned.

Third-party programs are generally not welcome, and accounts are banned because of small mods. You could be scripting for all they know, or get some information you are not welcome to know, say the cd's on the enemy laner's flash. Their TOS are their rules that you, as a player, must follow. If you've been on the boards for a while, you'd know that Riot is responsive to as much things as they can handle (or as much as they can get to on break time.)

If you break the rules, that is your choice. But you will face the consequences. If you cannot agree to those terms, you should not be playing this game.

Also, the abundance of players don't necessarily mean large percentage. There are millions of players and only a VERY small percent of players are banned.

I totally agree with you but still, helping someone who spent even a tiny bit of his time into THEIR game is also their responsibility. Ignoring that player or refusing to provide him further help is not a good-wise thing to do and I really can't stand it. Not that I can do anything to change it though, that's why I'm still trying.

They do help the players a lot, well as much as they can handle, but sometimes, when it comes to being banned, there generally is no way to get your account back. In your case, I could see the confusion, and you should try to catch Riot Tantram or someone of the sort on the boards here and ask them, or send a support ticket with inquiries, so even if you are shut down, you know why exactly you were.

If they are refusing to help you further, I suggest you provide a bit of screencapping love for us, where they said it exactly.

The only thing you can do is contact Player Support through tickets, though I might suggest adding some information in them;

  • A list of processes running on your computer
  • IP addresses that you play League from
  • Any times where you think someone else was on your acct.
  • A list of programs you use or used in the past like Skinpreview

The Fraud dept. can't share any of their process, but I think information like that may help them pinpoint if there was a mistake or if your account was compromised.

If it involves a person's personal account, would they be willing to give out a bit more information such as through the person's email, or something where the Fraud dept. and the person in question could communicate privately?

I understand the need for privacy and confidentiality; I've been trained in FERPA when I was working in an educational setting and even HIPAA when I was working in the town's local hospital. However, wouldn't you think hiding information from the person that it is directly associated with said information seems a bit too much?

It depends on what kind of information you mean. I know they won't tell a person what illegal programs were found in the audit (to prevent people abusing that information to escape detection), but beyond that I'd just be guessing I think.

i disagree with this stance. i understand not being able to tell people HOW they caught the cheat. but at least be able to tell them what cheat program they used. i would guess a few of these scripter bans are actually false positives

You don't have to state to me that you disagree with everything. When they say "we caught you with this", that means they weren't caught with everything else. That is how they would abuse that information.

Well, I tried asking them to provide me some more information about my suspension and which program gave them the wrong signal of cheating, also mentioned the Skinpreview program I used and asked them if they would like me to send them any kind of info about my computer or if I have to delete/repair League. And lastly I asked them to AT LEAST watch my replays for proof I never used exploits, but the bot-ish answer never changes and to be honest none of these guys really tried to help me with it. I guess I will try to send them a ticket with these infos you wrote and ask them once again for a legitimate help. Thanks anyway!

they won't tell you their detection methods and what they can scan off your computer.

If you were a real scripter, such information would let the scripter know how to dodge things and reprogram things. Not to say you are a scripter, but understand why they can't provide backwards information to you.

Also, there are certain mouse / keyboard macros that aren't allowed as well.

some skin overlays also give unfair advantages, such as "breakdown of the minions slayed", which can be used to calculate how much gold one has generated and can force favourable / non-favourable recall timings.

Well, I never expected them to give me infos about their scanning methods, but at least some real help could be more sufficient to me..

Things like this makes me afraid of using mods... even if Riot said is ok with mods.

I would suggest you not to use anything more than the client itself :P Because you never know what is wrong or right about their policy/terms of use.

What Deep Terror Nami said is true. That is about all you can do, probably try to get Tantram or someone appropriate to help you out on here. If you suspect you've been hacked, do send a support ticket. Just make another account if need be, and don't spend money on it until there is no hope left for the other account.

With this post I'm trying to get a Rioter's help, because as I've seen 'till now, none of the "riot support tickets" work. I'm gonna keep trying to get a real support message, with no bots involved in it. Thanks anyway!
