14 day ban out of nowhere

Casually started the game and got a 14 days ban for being toxic.

I probably had a chat restriction but that was like several months ago so shouldn't I get some sort of warning before Riot jumps at me with such a heavy ban.

Also if I'm not mistaken the next thing that comes after this is permaban right ?

Did the policy get harsher since the season 5 ?

Yeah and I had a permaban on an acc before and I believe that it had more steps before giving me a 14 day ban.

Depends what you said. There are zero tolerance things that you cannot say, and will escalate into an imediate ban (14day or perm)

Can you post us your chat logs? There are certain trigger words that can lead to an instant 14 day ban (slurs that include sexism, racism, homophobia, telling someone to kill themselves etc.). Depending on how many months ago your chat restriction was and how many games you've played it could be that the system just escalated you one tier further because of a smaller incident.

Yes that is correct, you are now on very thin ice and the next time you break the rules you will get a perma. Your account gets de-escalated from this status after many months and a few hundred games played without punishment.

Don't remember the old system too well but right now it is 10 Games Chat Restriction < 25 games Chat Restriction < 14 day ban < Perma ban

I think the policy is around the same as it always has been. I have terrible memory, so maybe I'm wrong. But yeah, the two bans you get before the 14 day ban are only chat restrictions, and I don't think riot forgets if you've ever been banned, even if you have haha. Just be careful from now on! o.o

my last punishment was on 2016 .. and i got destroyed by a permaban

Things can instantly jump to 14 day suspensions, even without any prior punishments. hate speech, racism, telling people to kill themselves, etc, all jump to 14 day suspensions usually. Easiest thing is that you get sent logs of the games that caused it, if you add those, we can see what lines triggered the punishment.
