Threatened to be Swatted

Just played an ARAM, told a player on the enemy team "you suck". Not nice, but whatever. In response he types "reported and swatted". This is totally unacceptable. People and their pets have died from swatting and this is no joke. His name was "<removed by moderation>". I should have screenshotted the chat but I didn't in the moment. But if a riot employee looks at the game chat its at 21:15 he says "reported and swatted". I hope something is done about this, because I am genuinely afraid, I have no idea what this guy is capable of and it's not okay for him to be saying this kind of stuff. I guarantee it's not the first time he has said it, and won't be the last.

Submit a support ticket explaining the situation, and then contact your local authorities.

It's probably just some scumbag thinking he's tough, but there's no need to bet on that. If your local authorities are aware that you have been threatened with swatting and you give those authorities your address, they are less likely to have a swat situation at your home escalate.

He'd have to know where you lived for that to happen. The chances are he's talking out of his arse.

Oh dear lord, this is a real thing. I honestly would have laughed if some one threatened to swat me.

Is "swat" really that harsh word? I tend to use it in "swat a fly" context myself. Or do you take it in some "Special Weapons And Tactics" meaning? I tend to believe I have rather good english skills for a non-english speaker, but I don't get what the problem with "swat" is here. Could someone elaborate?

Hey there, while I understand your concern towards that player, naming and shaming isn't allowed on Boards. With that said, I've edited out the username.

As others have suggested, it's best that you submit a support ticket explaining everything to Riot through here: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and to contact local autorities if you want to.
