Chat restricted but that isn't what confuses me

So i got chat restricted and i'm pretty confused. Firstly i just wanna know what got me chat restricted. I admit i was not the embodiment of the summoners code but i'd like clarity as to where the line is drawn on what language is considered toxic. So the chat logs: Game 1 In-Game HC12: no f HC12: wait i just stopped moving HC12: funny so am i :) HC12: no flsahes HC12: ur useless i'm not coming top HC12: i have too winning lane HC12: 1st bloods not gonna risk going top with the guy who lost solo HC12: go ahead bro HC12: i dont care about some loser getting angry over a game HC12: ur pathetic HC12: makes me happy watching u get caught out HC12: rages at me for not coming top but i'm toxic HC12: god the morons who play this game are amazing HC12: yes so toxic HC12: q HC12: ints but i'm toxic HC12: lol top running it down HC12: well report me HC12: then riot can look at chat logs HC12: its over Post-Game HC12: facts

Was it me calling my useless Darius who lost to Aatrox top useless? Was that going to far? Or after get spammed pinged then responding and explaining i had two winning lanes and that i didn't wanna risk the top gank was that inappropriate. Then said draven thrathens me and says "i can make you lose this game," goes in all chat ask enemy team to report me for being toxic and i respond with go ahead and explain the concept that this is a game and he's a loser for getting angry over not getting ganks. I did sprinkle on the 'ur pathetic' for good measure. Maybe that was unnecessary. Now if you look at the logs can agree maybe i do deserve getting a chat restriction. I am responsible what i said and I understand if calling someone 'useless,' 'loser' or 'moron' is punishable even if it was sort o justified. But i am really confused as to how someone who intentional feeds and was also being toxic in chat gets away without any punishment whatsoever. Now maybe he did get punished but i received no feedback stating so. And he has games played following this game so he was not suspended. So is being kinda mean worse than inting a game?

{quoted}Firstly i just wanna know what got me chat restricted.

Sure!

HC12: ur useless HC12: i dont care about some loser getting angry over a game HC12: ur pathetic HC12: makes me happy watching u get caught out HC12: god the morons who play this game are amazing HC12: yes so toxic HC12: ints but i'm toxic

Insults and calling others toxic (even if they're being toxic) aren't okay. Just don't do either.

But i am really confused as to how someone who intentional feeds and was also being toxic in chat gets away without any punishment whatsoever. Now maybe he did get punished but i received no feedback stating so.

Highlighted the part that is definitely possible. It's also worth noting that the intentional feeding detection is a bit forgiving because they want to avoid false positives -- the punishment is very severe once it's confirmed, but the system takes its time to make sure it's not punishing someone for just one or two really bad games. It's entirely possible that he hasn't inted enough for the system to be confident, and he hasn't been quite toxic enough frequently enough to get a restriction (or he DID get a restriction and you weren't informed of it).

Toxic in chat VS Toxic in game? Which is worse?

Except people never have that choice. Both are bad to have in the game. It's not mutually exclusive.

well, maybe if you didn't start flaming the guy he wouldn't int as a result, DUH.

"oh, my mid is trolling with an offmeta pick" (doesn't matter you ban her prepicked yasuo, right?) "oh, toplane is feeding" (doesn't matter you helped him 0 times and called him useless, right?)

"oh, why everyone in my team afk/trolls/feeds??"

maybe it's because you flamed the shiet out of them and they start giving no shits because of YOU ?

You have to be diplomatic and helpful. Try to get them to do what is needed. Simply declaring what you're not going to do isn't useful information for the team. And insults that don't offer any helpful feedback are a waste of time for you to type and for the others to read.

Tell them what you're going to do at the very least, so they can at least have the chance to think about how they might be able to help you with that. Just assuming your teammates will not understand anything you tell them is basically you acting like a snob.

I understand where you are coming from. You should not have said anything to him thought. Just mute him and get your Bot/Mid fed. Some people are just fragile and suck at the game. They ruin the game for everyone else. I do not think you should have got a chat ban though.
