What's up LoL community,

I've been permabanned and I just need other players opinions to analyze and tell me if I really deserve this permanent ban. I've had this account since 2013 and spent close to probably about $300 on it. I had 1000 ranked games this season and I ended the season with plat 2 because I was banned. I don't consider myself an overly toxic person, I understand that my tactics for shit talking isn't the greatest lol, but it's usually just video game shit talk or blunt criticism. It's nothing like "fuck u , u degenerate piece of shit". That's what I consider a scum in the community (Not to offend everyone), but like I said I'm blunt. Anyways let's get to it! I'll post my chat logs below and write a note next to it as to why I said what I said. The behavior you displayed in these chat-logs clearly warrants a ban. However, if your are coming off a 14-day then that means you already had a chance to reform and received a perma because of your behavior

I agree that the chat logs show I wasn't being a model player. I'm just getting to that after probably 5000 games, I get perma banned because of some trash talk because I was tilted and had every right to be. I agree I shouldn't reacted the way I did. I'll even take a perma mute if chat is my only problem. A permaban just seems harsh don't you agree? I'm only human.

I'm gonna save you a lot of time, they don't do tribunals anymore, if you are toxic you will be permabanned by a autoban bot, that's all there is to it. And no matter who you appeal to unless you weren't being toxic in the first place you won't be unbanned. They aren't interested in your humanity or reaction, their job is to ban as many toxic people as possible as fast as possible so that you have to make a new account and start buying things they used to have with RP.

I came across that thought a few times but you know, you just have to find out for sure. Especially the amount of time I put into this game, can't just give up too easily.

Skins are overrated anyway, they're all just a cashgrab for Riot now. I'd say it's rather unfortunate that you got perma banned, I would have the same mirrored feelings and reaction if I had received a ban like this.

I used to be a little bit toxic, but now I only flame people if they give me sh't first. For example, I was playing Ascension recently as Taliyah, and I messed up my ult which f'cked up our Renekton from securing a kill on Zed and then the little whiny brat kid started flaming me and giving me sh't for it and raging like the prepubescent garbage he is. I proceeded to sh't talk him back and flame him until I felt satisfied, and even pointed out how someone could act like such a little b*tch in a rotating game mode that's meant to have fun primarily.

Here's a tip even though I never follow it myself, the mute button helps a ton. Even pro players or streamers get flamed from time to time, and if anyone gives them shit, they just auto mute and carry on like nothing happened. Perhaps more people should have the same mentality, same as myself. At this point it's pretty much sold that ur gonna stay perma banned, but I hope to see you make another account and stay on the Rift. Don't give Riot what they want by spending any more money on the game lol I used to spend so much RP. Good luck to you!

While the other poster here is correct that bans are handled by a bot, Riot does not ban "as many people as possible" for more money. In fact, when Riot pulls the final permanent ban hammer, they're in effect saying "please leave". They've given you chances and you haven't improved, so they no longer want you to play League. If you choose to come back and spend money, that is completely your decision.

This is a ton of insults and threats to AFK, neither of which is acceptable behavior.

THIS is an encouragement to self-harm, which is NEVER a joke. Riot also has a zero tolerance policy on this sort of behavior, and it earns a 14-day ban on the first offense. It will absolutely escalate an existing punishment to a permanent ban.

I learn from my mistakes. Yes I threatened to afk under the circumstances I was in. I was acting out like a child, I'm not making excuses for my behavior. But you live and you learn. Yet, i still don't see why a permanent ban should be the punishment. I would never afk regardless of my team lol i'm plat 2, I always feel like there's hope even when the score is 0vs30. And you really don't understand with the "kys" comment. Graves literally said "lol kys" because I messed up my combo or something, I can't remember exactly as it was 2 months ago. And I simply just said kys back, it wasn't literal at all.

If you had previous punishments of any kind your punishment is escalated for each subsequent punishment without demonstrating proper reform. It's possible that you simple worked your way to to a permanent ban without showing an improvement in your behavior. Riot has found that long-term chat mutes don't work, and offering more changes has super diminishing returns (and enables more toxicity by letting toxic players stay around longer), so the permanent ban is the model they have decided on after some experimentation.

I do understand that. Zero tolerance, however, means zero tolerance. Telling another play to kill themselves is not appropriate and is not funny. If you don't mean it, don't say it.

I was careless. I wasn't toxic all the time which is why I was confident that I wouldn't be permaban. i would have my moments of toxicity and I'd go weeks/months without being toxic. Which is why I've lasted for 4 years.

As for "kys" I'm not wrong. It's like playing cod with a buddy and you tell him to hold RB until he blows up lol

The Djinn, this is a very different case than what I have going on. KYS is unacceptable. Calling someone toxic, or foolish for the behavior they've shown when those are correct, is not toxic negative nor foolish. You also get listed a fool Sr. You don't deserve to have any weight behind your opinions on this community. You're far to emotion and emotional and personal with your opinions, they are biased unfair and unruly.

There are 4 punishment tiers:

  1. 10 game chat restriction
  2. 25 game chat restriction
  3. 14-day ban
  4. Permaban

Anything that can yield a punishment eventually will get someone permabanned.

Not sure of what your punishment history is like, but 'kys' (or anything that encourages other to harm themselves) can skip punishment tiers.

If you've never been punished before, this is likely the case you were close to a chat restriction and the kys just escalated the punishment up to permaban.

If you've had any other punishment before, then this will certainly escalate to permaban.

Well it's starting to sink in that the use of "kys" is the reason it was a permanent ban. Even if it's literally just a joke and yes it can be a joke. I just have very unfortunate bad luck.

you can try your luck at https://support.riotgames.com and ask if they can review the punishment.

doesn't matter. you don't get a free pass neither for the age of the account or for how much you spent on it. ammount of games per season and elo also irrelevant

the harassment and toxicity in there are off the charts. not even going to bother with a quote since i'd have to quote most of it and since you don't think you're an "overly toxic person" it would be of no meaning...
