Can you blame me?

Today I was playing a ranked game as Riven riven vs Chogath chogath. I wasnt doing so well in lane and our midlaner Lux (lux) was losing lane to a Talon talon. I went mid and asked for a lane swap. Lux refused and i stayed mid in hopes that she would just go top. This was in my eyes the best option to not have both lanes fed. Our jungler held top and kept dying to cho. Then i was repeatedly flamed, told to kill myself, and many other horrible things. Lux Lux continued to flame while AFK in our base. Our adc Jhin (Jhin) was especially toxic, and stayed around on the postgame screen to insult me some more. Is it my fault that we lost because i wanted to lane swap? Or lux's fault for not swapping when it was the right option? This was a really bad experience and makes me not want to play league anymore if these are the kind of people i get in games.

I'd say all of you were at fault in different degrees.

You were acting for the best interest of the team, but you can't force your opinion - even if it's right in every way - onto others. When lux refused to swap you should just go back to top lane. Staying in lane with her despite her response showed that you didn't respect her will.

Lux needed to talk and compromise with you when you insisted on swapping, but instead she raged and went afk.

Team needed to talk and sort things out when something like this happened, but from what you said they didn't say anything constructive - though what cho did could be appreciated since he was defending top to stall time for you guys to sort things out.
