Hi, I have been playing league for a long time. I finally reached plat rank, but I got permanently banned for sharing some links. Few days ago, I recieved a link from my friend saying this is a new halloween event, so I clicked that link and I had to invite 8 people to get 1350 rp. The page looked same as league of legends page and the link was like www.event/leagueoflegends/na something like this. I thought it was real and shared this link to my friends. I had no idea this link was fake and also I got this link from my friend. Is there anyway that I can recover my account? It is so unfair!!!

and they received it from their friend too

anyway, how silly you should be not to file a support ticket instead of complaining on the forum

This probably comes as a bit of an inconvenience, but your account was identified utilizing our chat service for spam and/or phishing links. If you don’t recognize this activity, please take a moment to review some security practices around protecting your account, and if you suspect your account to have been compromised, contact us by submitting a ticket.

Note that continuing to share harmful links will result in a permanent suspension

The fact that you thought these links were legit is hilarious. How gullible can you be? You have to have 0 internet experience to fall for that. (Nigerian princes anyone?)

Pro Tips:

  1. Don't ever visit untrusted websites. Your friend doesn't make the site trusted. Also if they are promising you stuff in return for you sending spam (unsolicited advertisement), they are scamming you and asking you to break the rules. Even if the giveaway is real, this is still spam and still breaks the rules. Ignorance of the rule is no excuse.

  2. Don't share non-essential links in a game. If it is an invite to your voice chat, probably good. Anything else, probably not important enough to send in league.
