Ok so , they are a quad que. Annie and Voli who took no smite but heal as a jungler began to trash talk there partner vayne asking for a report. No vayne was doing just fine and they continued to ask and complain about her. Eventually me and other started telling them stop asking people to report it pathetic yada yada yada.... Ill admit Im a asshole. Im a asshole in real life and im a asshole in video games. If your going to act like a whiny little shit then im gonna treat you as such..... Riot you need to solve the problem of the trolls have all the power. You also need to provide the chat logs for the entire game so people have a more accurate judgment of the situation.

Damnit Roit, why not put a mute button to stop this type childish behavior during games! Look what you have done to this poor player, shamefull. This could all have been avoided if only there was a way to mute out flaming teammates or apponents.

The reason why only your chat is shown is because only your behavior matters here, no one else's. If someone is behaving poorly and refuses to stop, then don't retaliate against the banned troll rager (I say this as there's a good chance that they have already been punished before). Now as for you, let's see.

If you don't report then how do you expect the jerks to get punished? I fail to see how it's overused or lame when the only people who ever complain about it are the ones who are actively searching for ways to be jerks to others who won't give them their way.

If you're doing nothing wrong then the report against you will be thrown out and the reporters report weight lowered, meaning that their reports will mean less than someone who doesn't make false reports. What's more, repeat false reporters are actually banned for doing so.

Gameplay toxicity is much more difficult to detect than verbal toxicity, but when it is detected, the people who are doing it are immediately given a 2-week or permanent ban from the game instead of a simple chat restriction. Also, name-calling gets you punished as that's just you being a jerk and escalating the situation. If both parties start acting up then both parties are punished accordingly.

Yeah, so what's your point? In case you didn't know people have actually been arrested in real life for being a jerk online. Just because it's the internet doesn't mean that you can hide behind anonymity and be a jerk-it doesn't work like that. Also, if we never had the option to report then we would never see as many threads here from people complaining about getting banned for being jerks. It's not about "growing pride" it's about having common sense and acting like a mature person would (i.e. not raging when you don't get your way).

Again, that excuse doesn't fly here or anywhere else. If you can't interact with people you don't know without being a jerk to them if they so much as look at you wrong then you're the problem, not them.

I'm sure Riot has if your behavior on them is like you do on this account. Riot has ways of tracking peoples smurf accounts and does ban them as well if they see people using smurfs to try to circumvent their punishments.

Believe it or not but this actually one thing that I will actually agree with you on.

I could go on but the reason you got punished is because you did nothing but verbally abuse and harass others all game long. Also, you admit that you're a jerk both in-game and in real life, so what made you think that you could come on here, act like a jerk and get away with it? A simple search of this forum will show you that people who act like a jerk are the ones who are punished and are the ones who whine and complain and claim that the punishment system is broken because they couldn't be a jerk and get away with it. If anyone needs to grow up it's people who think that being a jerk online is perfectly acceptable as it's not.

You're lucky you only got a 10-game chat restriction, as this definitely deserves more than that. Speaking of which, here's how the punishment system breaks down:

Strike 1: 10-game chat restriction. Strike 2: 25-game chat restriction. Strike 3: 2-week ban. Strike 4: Permanent ban.

In order to drop down one punishment tier, you have to show at least 3 months worth of genuine reform effort. It's also important to note that more and more companies are cracking down on verbal abuse, so either shape up or ship out.

My verdict: Punish.
