My experience leveling - people are actually not that bad

Like many players leveling I'm forced to play blind queue. Judging by the negative rep the community has I was prepared for anything and everything. Instead, I encountered a relatively positive environment, people that religiously respect role-call order and don't bicker if they don't get their own role, or even ask for their preferred role. I'd put this type of quarreling in maybe 10% of the matches, maybe even lower. People call out support fairly frequently, and never once did I see someone complain because they ended up in the support role.

People will trash talk in games but it's obvious that they're a minority (small small minority with loud voice).

I had even less of a situation with toxicity until I reached mid-levels.

After all the negative talk about community and people being scared into not leveling their accounts just to not go trough the horrors I felt like it's important to share this.

Please feel free to share your experiences.

Yeah, outside of ranked, most of us are pretty chill to be 100% honest.

It's part of why I have no real intentions on playing ranked ever; 90% of this community's toxicity comes from ranked players.

everytime i played it was more toxic, then again that was when it took twice as long to level. literally.. they halved the time a bit ago..

You are just too new to recognize how bad people are. That said, most of the toxicity is restricted to ARAM and the bottom of ranked.

The game is really fun and toxic-less most of the time if you play above certain elo. Or you could say as long as you don't notice how bad others play then you won't expect certain things and it won't frustrate you how bad some people play.

In other words, ignorance is bliss.

People in SMITE are worse. They aren't overly sensitive little whiners if you say "kys" or "gg," but they are overall more toxic.

Just like with most communities the vast majority of people are relatively easy to deal with.

Its the players minority of players with really bad attitudes but when you run into one of these people it absolutely ruins the game for me. The few loud obnoxious players are always easier to remember than the majority of quiet ones who just do their own thing and go about their business without really making much of an impression on anyone.
