Why I Love and Hate This Game

TL;DR Trolls suck and i can't report them but i made lots of friends.

I started playing league in season 2 because my friends played but it was just a game then and i didn't really put much thought into it. Duriung last season though, i started watching more pro games and streams to try and learn more about the game and realized how little i actually knew. Now that i understand more i've been applying it and have seen much individual improvement, but here's the problem, none of that matters.

I thought after i escaped the pits of Bronze hell that i'd have at least semi competent team mates that cared enough to put a good effort into the game........ After getting trolled out of my silver 1 promos, this has been my experience. Every 2/5 games has a feeder that borders intentional; 2/5 games has non-ping listening, non-communicating, team blaming player; and 1/5 games, an afk after 3 minutes for whatever reason. There is some overlap so i don't mean to say that every game is bad, but I also feel punished for performing well but having a negative/troll team and i can't even report half of the culprits because of how the report categories are made.

i'm generally nice in chat and ask things of my team, instead of demanding them, i use ping but not to excess and i encourage confidence after a bad play. I'm out of options Riot, what does one do when trolls hurt the ranked community? I love this game and it's made me some really awesome friends, but i also like winning cause that's the point of this now sport. Who wants to play a game when your team is full of saboteurs?
