So i dont want to whine or cry about getting chat restricted but i think getting 25 game chat restriction and losing loot for being toxic in just 1 game is far too bad. I mean he kept talking all game long and i just called him a f*cking boosted ape. Smh people this days get banned for saying fuck or fucking but all the 13 yr olds wishing death and cancer get away with it. Great job riot. Keep feeding the trolls. From a player that gets at least 2 honors per game. PS: Also your honor system is a joke!

The tribunal isn't a thing anymore.

You can mute players instead of replaying to them.

The fucking system does give two shits if you cuss.

"Self-defense" wasn't accounted for during the time of the Tribunal though. That's why the IFS doesn't consider other player's chat when reviewing someone - the community has shown that it doesn't matter if you started the flaming, or are counterflaming - you still flamed, and still deserved punishment.

No but it helped with proper punishments. You were gonna be punished either way but the players words and stance on the report would determine the level of punishment. Shit if I called out a racist I would gladly take a chat restriction while he gets banned but 10/10 times you would get banned too.

The Tribunal voters did not determine level of punishment at all. Once players voted punish/not punish the level of punishment was determined automatically by a pre-programmed system.

I would please like for you to re-read my comment for I didn't say tribunal voters determined the level of punishment. I said the system helped with proper punishments, and what they players said and stance determined punishment (players as in the people who were being reviewed, not the reviewer/voter)Thanks for the clarification though

That is why it seems you thought that they determined punishment level.

To be quite fair, the system works the same now - the players' words determine if they get punished or not. There are very few cases of false punishments - a rate similar to the false punish rate in Tribunal (and no, that system was not perfect). The system being automated does not mean it is bad by default.

Well considering humans are base their lives on hypocrisy, and that this community has more toxic players than ANY other, it's safe to assume people who just say 'why talk back just mute them' is something they actually follow.

And for him to say retaliation is different than defending then he is also wrong. Retaliation can be caused from anything. He hit me, I retaliated by hitting him back and making sure he could cause no more harm. I believe in an eye for an eye (not literally but if you take my dogs eye out and you don't have a dog then enjoy seeing the world from a 'single' perspective)

Could also put him in a hold. Both options would work in that scenario.

In THIS one, people are attacking you with words. Not fists. Throwing words back doesn't stop them from continuing their assault. What DOES stop them is muting (likely doesn't and they might continue but doesn't matter since it doesn't reach you).

Also, gonna have to call [citations needed] on the toxic:any-other-player ratio.

The extent of my punishments:

1 warning, back when warnings still existed.

The worse I say to a flamer/toxic now? "Sorry, did you say something?"

Lets them know it won't affect me, and if they continue then yes I mute.

too bad it doesnt show the things others said in that game. i did flame the urgot tho. I snapped at urgot cause their top was constantly roaming and the dude just afk farmed,no ss, no wards no nothing,then called me out for feeding while i was 1 v 2 in my own jungle. the zyra was talking from minute 1. couldnt let me focus. and also mf called me out for feeding as well.while 4 of these deaths was me getting ambushed by their top+ jungle with my top not even knowing where his laner is. IN A DIAMOND GAME.
