Well, if you're going to make inflammatory comments when you do, then yes this is true. Otherwise, using chat properly and with respect towards the other players will not result in a punishment no matter how much you're reported.

Cant treat the game the way it is I.e. as a competitive moba where people get pissy. otherwise the almighty rito bans you. pretty simple.

No need to get pissy. It's a game made for fun.

If you want to play competitive, get a team together and compete in tournaments. Otherwise chill out. There's no need to make inflammatory comments. The methods already exist for effective communication and cooperation. If you fail to use them in favor of being inflammatory instead then that is your fault.

Effective communication and teamwork are almost as important skills as gameplay mechanics or map awareness. One who intends to climb the competitive ladder of ranked would do well to read up on and build these skills as much as they would any other skill that is useful for winning in a competitive sport.

What makes you think that they have never gotten mad? I'm 100% certain that everyone who has played this game has gotten mad. What they haven't done, however, is express that anger and bring it into the game chat in a negative and harassing matter, at least not frequently/severely enough to get punished.

Riot doesn't expect you to never ever be mad. It is 100% understandable and acceptable to get angry and frustrated in this game, and Riot doesn't punish anyone simply for being mad. Riot punishes players for their action because of they are mad. Taking your anger and frustration into the game chat and starting to insult and harass other players is not acceptable, and that is what Riot punishes.

You're missing the point of what I've said. It is in our best interest to try to keep our tempers in check. And the skillsets exist to get what we need from teammates without pissing them off as well.

Nobody's completely perfect, but it's in our best interest to build these skills.

Rather than get defensive and make personal attacks against me why don't you read what I said before again and actually understand what I've suggested?
