The Honor System is so crappy it's unbelievable...

So here's a little story to fuel the rage of all of my fellow slightly toxic players that get punished for the dumbest reasons. I have been playing League for nearly a year now, starting in January, and I was introduced to the game by a friend. That same friend taught me how to play and was pretty toxic so I too acted toxic, though not as frequently. As time passed and I started playing more by myself I became less toxic, but I'm still someone who isn't the best at containing my anger to those who grief me. Flash forward to more recent times, and probably 2-3 weeks after the new honor system dropped. I was playing blind norms, and wanted to try the new Malzahar in the jungle, when i called the role, locked in with smite, and then a kayn calls jg after and locks in. He knows I called jg, admits he is stealing, and says he doesn't care. He then spends the rest of the game following me in the jg (Even if I stood still he would just stand still next to me) and trying to take my jg creeps. Luckily he was bad at the game and early smited every time. He also spent the whole game arguing with me saying i should go mid. The only insult I ever threw out was "you are an idiot who tried to steal my lane so go away". He buddies in the queue then throw out homophobic and racial slurs. After the game i get a notification that my account is chat restricted because I was deemed toxic by players. BUT I WAS DEEMED TOXIC BY TOXIC PLAYERS. Same thing happens a week later, and then one week later I was BANNED for 2 weeks because i was queuing with someone who was griefing, and they just reported me for being in queue with them. I got banned and he didn't. Not to mention HONOR 0 IS INESCAPABLE HELL, so this preseason I decided I hated that account so much that I was going to get it perma banned on purpose. All of my friends were like NO you put $200 dollars on that account. WELL TOO BAD BECAUSE CRAPPY RIOT SUPPORT TEAM RUINED MY EXPERIENCE BY BANNING ME FOR NO REASON RIGHT BEFORE I WAS GOING TO HIT GOLD. So i recently got my main perma'd on purpose. Thanks riot you totally got me, a toxic player, with another account thats level 30 and honor 2. Thank you for clearing me off of the streets all because I tried to fight back against trolls and griefers.

there is no justification for this ....

so you admit you were being toxic ...... that is dishonorable action - system working as intended also punishment system working as intended

irrelevant if you were falsely accused by them the reports would have been disregarded.

There is no justification to acting or reacting negativity in game no matter what is happening, how toxic you think it is , or how bad you think a action is legitimate complaint or not.

If you act or react in the game like you wrote this post than you most certainly deserved whatever punishment and honor you are at.

The honor system rewards peole that are Honorable at all items ..so yes act dishonorable and get punished even ones you are no longer honorable.

t/dr You only have yourself to blame, Not Riot, not the game, not other players , not other toxic people , not your friend , not "competitiveness" YOU and You alone for your own conduct and speech, Both punishment and honor system are working as intended.

Wait...because your friend was toxic, you decided to be toxic too. Ooooooh boy...

I couldn't read the rest of the post as that leadoff was way too obvious to where it was going to go. Sorry summoner, I think you and your friend both need to sit and think about what is happening that infuriates you so much in that game that you choose to be toxic.

As another summoner mentioned, you cannot be just slightly toxic - you are or are not. You either learn the ability to forgive others and overcome bad plays and learn to not aggressively degrade others who are here to enjoy themselves in a game that you and they love to play. When you are becoming physically angry and spend more time typing on the rift above focusing on how to overcome the shortcomings of whatever player is having a bad match, then you need to take time away from the rift. To target aggressive degraded uninsightful communications to others, you're actually the problem. It takes more skill to be a good teammate than to play this game and it takes a lot of time to figure that out. I hope you can use some of this in your gameplay and become an even better player. You deemed them as toxic too. Should their behavior be overlooked because the report came from you?

No, I think reports from any source should trigger the IFS to review the match.

Toxic people are often the same people who dislike receiving toxic behavior the most.

Ya know, i feel for you. I had some similar circumstances in how i started league and my experiences with premades. All i can say though is that you just gotta stay quiet and get through the match. One time, when i was trying to learn how to support, i was matched with a 4man premade. For the first half of the match they played like they were intentionally trying to lose. When i called for a surrender at 20, they promptly all declined and completely changed how they were playing to then win the game. But while they did that they all decided to constantly shit talk me and tell me how bad i was, to uninstall, etc. All i could do was hold my anger and annoyance until it ended, report them, and go blow off some steam. It sucked not being able to talk back, but that's how it goes. Now whenever i play i always try to play with at least 1 other friend.

You couldnt get honor 1 so you wanted to get perma banned.
