the chat logs always make you look bad because there's no context. That's the real reason they don't show the other people's comms. If they did it would be:

Reporter1: This yi's mom should've swallowed his dad's load Reporter 2 (premade with above): Yeah, yi slit wrist reporter 1 and 2 counter jungle their own yi Yi: wtf guys this is bullshit Yi: stop fucking stealing my shit you fucking retarded trolls Reporter 3 (also premade): report yi for toxic Reporter 1-3 go 3/19; yi goes 7/4/5 Reporter 4 reports all teammates Reporters 1-3 report yi

This happens in at 25% of all games under lvl 30, so someone who plays 12 games in a week ends up with 3 games in chat log where they get 3-4 reports; the yi gets chat rest.; it happens again a month later, longer rest.; once more 2 months later, permanent ban.

First, number of reports in a game doesn't matter. 1 report will flag the game just the same as 4 or 9.

Second inn your example, Yi could report both 1 and 2 fairly easy. And yes, if he decided to finish with "retarded ass trolls", he will probably get flagged for that. A simple, "Stop taking my jungle farm please." or even, "Stop taking my jungle farm." would be more then sufficient and wouldn't get flagged.

This is a consistant negative tone. Minimal harrassment and grieving a bit due to giving up and announcing defeat easily. Would not say it's toxic. Unless you also like to spam pings on top of this.

Which all comes down to how often you have games like this. You are scratching the underlayers of several types of reportable, and as such punishable behaviors. Even if they aren't each that strong in severity. But if you always do this. And spam pings on top of it, and have games that are worse than this. Then eventually they have to accept that you aren't reforming, being a positive or even neutral influence on this game and start handing out punishments to incentivize you to not be so consistantly negative. Seeing letting it slide isnt working.

no ping spam at all. i wasn't trying to be negative. i got tilted. i got murdered in lane. and my jayce kept saying i was inting. i wasn't inting i was just outplayed. the game with vi i asked for a gank and she refused to help. and when she finally did come she ran into the enemy team while we were stuck at turret.

This is toxic. Constant negativity is considered toxic just like flaming a specific person/people is.

Especially if OP had a recent 14 day ban, this is worthy of a further punishment.

i wasn't being negative in chat. i said games over we lost. it was obvious. kalista was fed. and i couldnt do any damage. our support wasn't warding, jayce was flaming me. and i was tilted. however i didn't flame or constantly spam ff. i said gg several times. thats bout it.

Complaining and blaming are both negative behaviors. They mess with team morale and cohesion, and as such win chances. And while this can be excused every now and then. If it is your default state of being, you are a toxic influence on other players. The GG and report asking being reportable offenses and indicators it isn't just tilt. It's a mindset.

If you are normally positive or just neutral the system forgives an occational transgression. Unless you are already recently punished. In which case you are expected to have gotten the point that you take things too far. Then you will get punished faster again if you cross the line.

I had played 20 plus games since my 14 day ban. I only had these two chat logs provided to me. I don't just give up. I continue to play my ass off until we lose. Regardless of whether I am tilted or not. I only posted the report jayce for toxic and the vi for toxic since they were indeed toxic. I have been around since season 2. Where multiple reports were required for someone to be punished. If these chat logs are honestly considered toxic and unsportsmanlike then riot needs to rework their report/ban system. I have been told to kill myself, that I have down syndrome, that I should off myself, that I am retarded, gay, shitty, etc. Across multiple accounts. And in the end I got banned for asking for them to be punished. And I feel that is not ok.

I disagree. Having a negative tone for one or two games isn't bad. We are emotional being with moods and reactions. But if indeed it common behavior, and even recently punished to stop, then yes, it is toxic. Not just volatile.

One or two games isn't bad, no, but then again the system doesn't punish people who've been here long enough to be level 30 for one or two games generally speaking.

Either OP had just come off of a punishment, or this is a pattern over time and the system only showed him those 2 chat logs.

As I said I came off a recent 14 day ban. However I had played over 20 games since I came off the ban. And if those are the only two it is showing me chat logs for. Then that should mean those are the only two being held against me. And if the behaviors there are shown to be toxic or unsportsmanlike then the ban system needs a serious overhaul and rework.

If you came off a 14 day ban, usually you would've had two prior chat restrictions before.

Further, regardless of how many punishments you've had, you knew you were on thin ice. If 10% of your games are still overly negative, that's not acceptable.

You're allowed one or two bad games every once in a while. You aren't allowed to continue having 10% (or slightly less) of your games to be negative. From my count you've played about 21 games in the past 3 days.

The system is lenient to enable people to mess up infrequently. However, continuing to spend a lot of the game giving up and being negative after you already were punished for your toxicity is unacceptable.

TL;DR: The ban system does not need an overhaul. You continued being toxic and/or overly negative after your 14 day ban, and thus were punished again.

But based on your explanation it does need an overhaul. A game where someone can come off a chat ban. And have the occasional game where they tilt due to being flamed should be allowed. If the chat logs from my teammates were shown you would see that I was flamed all game from champ select to end game lobby by the jayce. Should he not be punished for telling me I am retarded? He accused me of inting after I explained I simply had a bad game.

10% isn't "occasional". 10% of your games shows quite a pattern of negative attitude.

If I go out and get caught going 100 in an 80 zone once in a blue moon? I won't get a ticket probably.

If I go out and 10% of the times I'm driving I'm getting caught? I'm going to get a ticket and probably more.

People who flame you get chances just like you did. If you reported them, the system will consider it. Just like it took these two games to get you banned, it takes multiple games to issue them a punishment, which may be a chat restriction if this is a rare occurrence. Simply them not getting instantly punished does not mean the system is treating you differently. It just means the chances and leniency you got are being afforded to everyone else as well.

The point I am providing here is between my 10 game and 25 game chat ban I played probably about 27 games. Between my 25 game chat ban and 14 day ban. I probably played 50 games. Between my 14 day ban and perma ban I played over 20 games. The issue here is that Across x amount of games I am have 1 to 3 bad games where I tilt and possibly or possibly don't flame.

By your count, and mine, it looks to have been 3-4 days at most since you started playing after your 14 day ban.

You had at least 2 bad games during that time. That means that every other day is a "bad day" for you.

That's not a "bad day", that's you having a pattern of having a negative attitude and being unwilling to change.

Ok. Once again though. Having 2 bad games out of over 20 games played shouldn't be anything special. The number of games I have been in with the same people multiple times in a row even after reporting them for being toxic is astounding. I played with one guy who flamed in all chat 4 games in a row. Telling multiple people to kill themselves and that they are all wastes of skin. Yet i never saw the instant feedback report pop up.

I highly doubt you've been with the same people in games in a row. In fact, I can't find a single instance where that's happened. Maybe you think it's the same person, but it's probably not.

Further, you don't always get the punishment notification for a variety of reasons (all intentional).

Lastly, 2 bad games in 20 is special. It shows a pattern, especially when you've been punished three times already and just came off of one. Your combative attitude here (not accepting the fact people are telling you you're wrong) just furthers my belief that you are a negative person and need an attitude improvement before playing League more. It is an attitude problem, and that is "special".

You are the only person who is arguing with me and attempting to prove me wrong. I have talked with many other people. All who have been banned. And each of them say that this is a wrongful ban. I wasn't being combative. I wasn't attacking people. The game was over. I said gg. I was getting destroyed in a lane match up that I was not used to. I was being flamed nonstop. I was not flaming back.

the majority of games I play i am actually quite positive. There will be maybe 1 in 7 games that i will get a little tilted. maybe say gg a little early. but i never flame or target specific people incessantly.

Riot sometime did state somewhere saying "asking for reports on a player" is considered toxic behavior. The passive aggressive of telling people they are being toxic, trolls, flaming, etc... is also a form of toxicity. Also noting, chat flooding/spamming can be considered trolling/negative behavior or what.

Other than that in mind, I don't much reason behind it. I'm guessing you were chat restricted or had a temporary banned prior than this recently which led to the permanent banned.

wasn't trying to spam. i was typing in short bursts because i was farming in bot lane. and then got jumped by the enemy adc and support.

Yeah, its just hard to tell whats going on with chat logs alone. I was just putting down on what I see the can be considered toxic really. Because there are times like this one stated that can cause the seemingly chat spam. Best to put down a ticket in if you can get more information and explain on what happened with some proof that you weren't toxic or what. Then hope for the best if you can get the ban removed or bring the punishment down a bit to a temp banned or what.

I came off a 14 day ban on the 17th. However. My jayce called me retarded and flamed me the majority of the game. Maokai, our jungler, told him to stop. Game 2 was a vi jungler. She refused to gank bot lane at all and instead flamed me and fed the enemy top laner.
