Got reported for DISCONNECTING during a game

So I was playing a game in TT, 3v3 normals at level 16. Was doing really good, went 3-1 then all of a sudden I was getting 500-1000ms spikes and it was causing me to be unable to move my character and my screen was pretty much stuck in place. I then exited my game and tried getting back into it, but it kept saying I wasn't connected to pvp.net server. I kept attempting to get back into the game for about 20-30 minutes. Get in and my team is losing. So I decided I needed to farm really bad, I tried hard to not get mixed up in any teamfights because I knew I wasn't going to be able to do much. I was about 150-200 farm less then the enemy jng and 4 levels lower. Had only 2 items. So when I tried to farm up my one teammate started badgering me about what I was building and the fact I was disconnected for so long. I muted him and continued on with my farming. But apparently he really didnt like that and got the enemy team to agree that they were going to report me. So I had to get into a huge argument with both the enemy team and my teammate about the fact that my disconnecting was due to an internet issue and not because I was trying to troll my team like the other player was telling them. After the game I ended up getting a msg saying that because I left a game prematurely that I will have 5 matches with 10 minute wait times on each to get into ques. I find this highly unfair and would really like it if this wouldn't happen in the future. Because it isn't a players fault if their internet they are using all of a sudden decides to crap out. There is a reason for the Alt+click on the ping, and I did do that just before exiting the game. After rewatching the gameplay, I did see that it did post, so they had literally 0 reasoning for being a dick other then the fact that they were either salty that they had to 2v3 for 20-30 minutes or because I wasn't building what they wanted me to build. Which I am pretty certain that in this game, normals are supposed to be a gamemode you either have fun in or you try to train yourself with a champ. Sorry if this entire post is too long to read, but I had to get this out of my mind and onto something. Because if this ever happens again I might just stop playing league and possibly move onto dota 2 or Smite. Because at least they don't have an unfair report system.

Dota 2 is not a better community Smite isnt going to be any different than league just a heads up

Sucks to have had to play in that , but mute move on is the best way to handle

you should not worry about a single games report if you're a good player, you've got nothing to worry about

This wasn't because you were reported, this is because you were absent from/inactive in the match for too long, the punishment is automatic. Frequently doing this in matches results in increased penalties, but not leaving enough games will reduce it.

I understand you are upset but you only get a que penalty if you leave games frequently. Like I DC'd from a a game today but I didn't get a punishment because my last DC was months ago.

You're right, its not your fault if you lose connection to the internet. If it only happens once or twice in a short period of time, you'll be alright and wont get a que penalty. If you continue to que up when you know you have internet issues, then it becomes something you can prevent. If you know you are having connection problems, maybe you should work on getting them fixed rather than getting in a game.

Best of luck to ya

And I am confused as to the reason why I am getting "negative" points on a perfectly valid discussion.
