I got a 14 day ban on my birthday for saying "KYS"

Rito needs to fix the the way they ban people. I was playing a "NORMAL" game not even ranked to begin with and this happened because i said "KYS". Pro players say worse things than that and never get banned for example "imaqtpie" will straight up say, f*ck you and other profanities to his team and enemy team and nothing will happen to him. But im having a little fun and say kys my acronym for "keep Yourself Striving" witch i clarified to them and still got a 14 day ban. Rito get it together ban people being racist or homophobic but this. . . . . really -.- at least make a list of what you cant say so we dont get randomly banned.

You can try to redefine something on-the-fly, but the community generally acknowledges kys to mean kill yourself, and it's taken as an extreme insult and a form of cyber-bullying.

You should have 2 more games, so could you post them in their unedited entirety as well? As for Kys, it is widely accepted to mean "kill yourself", something that Riot has a zero-tolerance for. I know you tried to get it to mean something else but you are not the first to try and fail to do that, and there are much better ways to try to motivate people than trying to use a zero-tolerance acronym like "kys" to do it. In addition to the kys', you do allot of spamming in the chat with the "feels bad man" comments, something that's considered very annoying by the general community (the spamming I mean).

It's unfortunate that this ban occurred on your birthday but understand that this would most likely not have happened had you not:

A) had a history of poor behavior.

AND/OR

B) repeatedly used an acronym that's widely accepted as unacceptable.

In the future if you want to try to motivate people then do so without doing it in a way that comes off as you trying to weasel your way around the rules, and also don't spam the chat with messages, as not only is that annoying to look at but it also distracts from the game itself as well.

You know that people see "kys" as "kill yourself" yet you chose to say it anyway and laugh about it telling them you meant something else.

If your teammates make it clear that they are offended by something that's not even necessary to say, you should know better than to keep doing it.

Hey, you're the one that made fun of "reporting" someone as if you were untouchable. Riot just put you in your place. Also, this is great evidence that you're just a weak-minded troll, saying "kys" to people and then playing the victim knowing that you're a rotten person. Unless you change personalities you'll probably be perma'd.

Lol I got out of a 14 day ban last month, I believe my account is good now that I am getting chests and key fragments.

As for the ban, I'm so sure it's toxic in bronze and you probably responded more often which led to the ban. It sucks bro, but the more we type the trolls the more punishments we get fam. Stay strong my fellow yi main.

This is what happens when you try to be a clown. Nobody buys your "This is my version of this offensive phrase so I cannot be punished" shenanigans.

You have the next 14 days to stop using it and stop being such an asinine teammate or we will see you next month when you're complaining about your perma.

Kys is generally acknowledged as a mean acronym.

Also, you're spamming chat. There's no reason to do that, which is why it's reportable.

Its unfortunate your post is getting downvoted so hard, your simply trying to state your opinion about why you think your ban was unfair. If youve never been chat restriction before, getting a 14 day ban seems harsh if its only for one game. A chat restriction seems like a more appropriate punishment. But yeah, for future games dont use homophobic/ racial slurs/'kys', riot is focused on banning people who use these terms more than any other words. Best of luck in the future man.

Told someone to kill themselves, that will teach you. I find I usually get the punishment popup if someone said it 3 times in a game. Once or twice and they seem to get away with it more often.

Honestly after reading the comments and thinking about it the 14 day ban is justifiable because i was being a troll to certain extent. I definitely learned my lesson and in future games ill just keep to myself. But i feel like a chat log restriction would of been a better ban but w/e I guess receiving this ban will just show me how serious riot takes these types of offences. Also me stating that it was my birthday is not meant to be a sorry excuse for people to feel bad for me or any thing like that just simply sucks it happened to be on my birthday lmao the "cherry on top". But lesson learned dont say KYS or any mean things even if a just a joke that you got from pro players. GG FeelsBadMan

That sucks man; not as much as getting your account hacked and then permabanned when you are planning to start streaming like what happened to me, but it still sucks. At least its only 2 weeks and not forever.

next time you should say "I really hope you stay alive man, your life means a lot to me, your profound level of skill is what makes this game interesting". That way they will immediately know what you mean and you will be commended by the system

Before I get into this post any further, I think there is a huge misconception here among some of the playerbase. "Normal" games have the same rules as "Ranked" games. You need to behave in the same manner in each and every game type---ARAM has just as much significance and importance with regard to the Summoner's Code as Normal Blind, Draft or Ranked. No game set is inferior or has a more "relaxed" set of rules.

All of that having been said... you deserved your ban, it's that simple. You said "KYS". That's not even amusing.

Based upon the title of the thread I would assume you're rather immature both literally and figuratively---who cares if it was your birthday... birthdays are meaningless---you don't get a free pass to break the rules just because this the anniversary for which your mother pushed you out of her womb.

Sometimes this community really makes me scratch my head.
