Is there any way to report a player for excessive toxicity outside of the in-game report system? A player in the game I linked was seriously toxic, to the point where me just mentioning that the Jax built MR and we needed to build magic pen set him/her off on a rant and then continued flaming me through the end of the game and in post-game chat.
HarrisonOwns2 votesYou can report them using the support system, but don't hold your breath. In-fact, you're more likely to be punished for posting the match history than they are for being a troll.
It's rather pathetic the way they protect trolls, but punish people who out trolls.

Deep Terror Nami1 votesPlease familiarize yourself with the Universal Rules before posting. Name & Shame/Reporting isn't disallowed to "protect trolls", but to protect everyone from unfair treatment. Posting the match history link that has their name and describing who it was is no different than directly posting their name (also, we don't always get the names from a match history).
To report a player outside of the post-game reporting feature, please use a Support Ticket instead.
Also, pre/post-game lobby chat is recorded. Just annotate in the report description that it was in the lobby. Providing a screenshot link helps as well.

Deep Terror Nami1 votesThe forums are moderated by a third party. They have absolutely no power in dealing with a troll in-game. All they are doing by deleting player reports and shaming is following the guidelines set by Riot; the rule is not to "protect trolls", it's to protect everyone from unfair treatment, including you. It's not up to the players to be the judge and executioner, it's up to Riot.
And they do investigate reports for out-of-game behavior, and will take action appropriate to the case.
FromLinesOfRed1 votesI wasn't trying to shame him/her and edited my post as such. I just wanted to know if I can find another, better way to get Riot to look at this person's chat history, because I doubt the level of toxicity I experienced is a one-time thing.
Tract1 votesYou are indeed able to do this! I would not advise it unless the case was extreme, but you can make a support ticket.
One word of advice, however, naming and shaming is NOT allowed on these boards so please do not include links to match history that would incriminate a player.
